So you come on here asking what he uses and then answer your own question by saying roids when the answer isn't what YOU wanted to hear. Why the f*** would it be roids? the guy's a gentic freak who worked his ass off in the weightroom.
It's funny how those who want something always try to tear down those who have it.

When he was at Ohio State he had his workout routines and diet posted. It was incredible to say the least. I wish I could find it again. Another thing that happened to him was that he got injured one year at OSU. It was a some sort of lower body injury. Anyway all he did was workout in the weight room since he missed the football season. He packed on a lot of size in his time off. But yea he is a genetic freak.

now not saying its impossible but its hard to maintain that size during the football season. and its also not easy to weigh that much with such a low bodyfat.

yea, amazing genetics+world class training and diet techniques at one of the top athletic schools in the country + a desire to succeed = unreal collegiate athlete.
maybe I'm being niave but IMO it's better than being a sinical bastard who thinks anybody better than I am cheated to get that way.

You're delusional if you think he's not on gear.
Not to take anything away from him. Just because someone isn't on gear doesn't mean they're not a genetic freak who doesn't bust his ass in the weight room. But yeah. You're delusional.

Just think about it this way.. there are professional bodybuilders, on steroids, who spend all their time and money on getting as big and lean as possible.. and some of them never get close to his size.
Even arnie was only 240lbs at 6ft 2 at his peak and he admitted he was on juice. How can you seriously believe that a guy can be 6'1 and weigh 10lbs MORE without juicing? especially when you consider he's a football player and the demand the game/training puts on his body..
EDIT: and like danj112 mentioned above, I'm willing to bet he does work his ass off.. it doesn't take anything away from his effort, it's just a fact. If anything, I'm actually pro-steroids for football players, simply because of the wear and tear the body takes during the season, I think the only realistic way they have of recovering is through illegal meds/drugs (just my 2c)

Wh is everyone saying he is 6'1''. When on NFL.com his stats say he is 6'4'', three inches is alot of difference. 258lbs at 6'4'' is like being 5'10'' and 190-200lbs. Perfectly achievable naturally.

Well most BBrs are 5'8 and couldn't carry that much weight and still be a functioning human. Arnie wasn't that big by choice, if you look at BBr's from that era it wasn't fashionable to be a freak it was more about being symetrical and lean with a slim mid-section not a bloated freak with roid gut like it is now. and I'm sure if Arnie wanted to get bigger than 240 he couldve with ease. Also the amount of the gear they used back then is a drop in the bucket compared to today's BBing standards.
Vernon gholston's 6'4 by the way, check link provided in one of my posts.
and yes an nfl football season is a long and hard road, but alot of players go through it and have gone through it for years without gear.
they have team doctors, massage therapists, strength coaches and nutritionists that make sure they stay in top shape during the season.

If you want to believe that the majority of NFL players are completely natural then you go right ahead, but I think you'd be completely naive to do so.
These guys are professional athletes.. their wages come from their performance. A lot of these guys aren't the smartest of guys and have nothing to fall back on if they don't make it in football. They MUST be bigger/stronger/faster than their competition to get recognition and all the big contracts. Plus he's a linebacker/lineman where size really does matter.. it's not like he's a defensive back/receiver where he can get away with being sub 220lbs.
Then throw on top of this the fact that they probably train multiple times per day, every day of the week. They don't always have the time to set out a perfect schedule for meals.. and most probably are on the road a lot due to away games etc.
Now throw on top of that injuries, aches, strains from all the contact during the week..
and you're telling me that you think that he's natural?
Dude think about it, there are constantly people getting busted for steroids in the league.. look at julius peppers, shawne merriman.. there's tonnes of others, just google it.

Not to mention there's another great interview with an NFL lineman who discusses the steroid usage in the NFL and estimates 70% of the NFL are on illegal drugs. I tried to find the link but I can't seem to get it.. it used to be hosted on t-nation I think.

Pretty much like some of the others have said...
He's a genetic freak. That along with a great workout routine, diet, "supplement" assistance, etc.. is what made him what he is. You'd be stupid to think if you take what he takes and train how he trains you'll become just like him. It doesn't work like that chief.

Very good links(no sarcasm)
Now I kno that many pro guys juice and honestly it doesn't bother me that much (the canadian football league doesn't even test), it just bothers me that regular people automatically assume the worse of people who acieved something great, and thats why I'm argueing.

I don't think anyone's debating this. The question is whether he uses drugs.
At this level, everyone works hard and has put in a tonne of effort to get where they are..

what do you think "supplement" assistance means? the quotes were there for a reason. Obviously he does and has used performance enhancers. HGH is still undetectable, test suspension only takes 1-3 days to get out of your system.... etc. At that level usage is rampant. Without "help" they'd be overtraining and getting injured much more. Also it can make the difference between making lots of money or not, or even having a job or not. To think they don't would be foolish.

We ain't arguing :) - it's discussion! But yes I agree, it does suck that as soon as you hear steroids mentioned, people assume they're lazy and the drugs do all the work.
As for Gholston, I kinda view him as vernon davis ie. an amazing athlete/genetic freak.. just not an amazing football player
