FEB 17, 2009

started of the morning with a 3 mile jog/sprint intervals
did 30 burpees every other half mile and 30 push ups every half mile in between
the run was on a hill route

wrestling season ended for the high school i was training at so i only had MMA classa t 7pm tonight . Relatiely laid back tonight, but good none the less.

rolled for like 5 minutes
worked triangle from guard
omoplata from guard
armbar from guard
transition from one to another to another from failed attempts

rolled for 20 minutes

diet was **** today, ended up eating a good portion of a bag of choclates my mommy giveth me for valentines day...they were, however, very tasty

my water consumption today was on mark though.

125lb squat muscular endurance work, with pull ups in between sets
35lb plate twirly around the head thing...see it on TUF so i thought id try it

its kind of hard to keep track exactly because most of my food comes from the campus meal hall
typically
eggs, biscuit, hash browns, and milk/water so maybe 25p, 60c, 15f ??
salad with lima beans, lots of leean diced ham, and light ranch usually with milk/water ?20p, 20c, 5f?
some kind of lean meat at carb with water and maybe a bowl of cereal ?25p, 60c, 10f??
trail mix snack
lean meat with some carbs again
chocolate milk for dessert

Cut out the trail mix. And try to get more fiber in there. Also oats > biscuits/hashbrowns. You need a lot more fiber in there.

PrettyPinkDonut
02-23-2009, 09:09 PM
ok...so i shoul just get a plate of eggs, then get a seperate bowl of oats....different lines for the two at my meal hall
i rekon im getting enough dairy and fat, so i will up the fiber

just for informational purposes, whats wrong with the trail mix...its unsalted

Trail mix by definition and purpose has extremely large amounts of calories.

whats something i can snack on every once in a while thoughout the day

That's low calorie? Quite honestly nothing that tasty. Apples are good because the pectin and soluble fiber make the sugar release slowly into your bloodstream, carrots are good because they are nutrient dense without that many calories.

If you eat more fiber though, you will feel more satiety throughout the day and won't need to snack as often.

PrettyPinkDonut
02-23-2009, 09:18 PM
yeah i admittedly have a big sweet tooth, so ill need to be getting over that
i usually buy calorie-less flaVORED water as something tasty to drink once or twice a day
and like a said,a chocolate milk for dessert

well ladies and gents im back
im coming off an ankle injury (stupid sewers) and busy nights due to ROTC
yesterday (march 13)was the first time ive trained since last friday...and thankfully it was a pretty light day

weighted myself thursday at 165, so thats atleast within reasonable cutting rangefor 155, but i hope to be naturally between 160-165 not flaoting at 165-170 like i am now

my diets going great, and i only tend to cheat on the weekend

We have a guy at our gym who walks around at 162 and fights at 145. He is only 5'6" so he is pretty jacked. With your height at that weight you would definitely be at the top end of the reach spectrum I would think.

man today was pretty exhausting
did 20 minutes of intervals on the elliptical
boxing for 2 hours--included heavy bag rounds, and an intense circuit
mma for one hour--worked single legs and sweeps....rolled with a newb, then rolled with instructor

the lack of overall skill is a bit evident in AR, but their was some good brawls, and a pro women fight where a girl that trains at my gym TKO'd this other chick and broke her nose in 12 seconds
my boy their that was fighting displayed some awesome jitz (almost got a gogoplata), the other dude hung in their but was eventuall RNC in the 2nd

and yeah workouts are hard to do at your house lol too many temptations...it usually consists of push ups and ab workouts while watching DVR'd ufc unleashed

just made it to the boxing gym today---still adjusting to the work schedule, but it was a well spent 2 hours
endurance circuit of squats to pull ups no rest
3x3 minute rounds on the heavy bag
ab work

sparred three three minute rounds with a hvyweight pro boxer and reaffirmed that i wasnt misguided in my belief that i have a good chin lol....i ate this uppercut like a chicken sandwich, got dropped but was told i was back up as soon as i hit the ground and continued to spar for anoter 5 minutes

3 pounds over?

He has got 1 week to cut 8 pounds. Easily done.

Your training partner got supplies to properly corner you? wrap your hands? stop any bleeding? etc?

You wanna fight me on August 15th at 145? (srs)
