Ben Askren, 4x College All-American and 2x National Champ, spoke of his training routine. I am trying to mimick it, I wanna be just as good as him!

Askren was one of the most dominant college wrestlers his senior year just because you have the same workout as him wont make you great he is an amazing wrestler. But it doesn't hurt to try it out.

Askren's style was so unique that it really can't be mimicked. He was insanely aggressive and awkward all at the same time and had an uncanny ability to throw opponents to their back from any position. Plus may I add some of the best hair in NCAA history.
I am sure his training regimen is great but in all honesty Askren was not great because he was stronger than everyone else. He was just a better wrestler than everyone else and had that champions mentality that every great wrestler has.

Ben Askren has actually come down to our town to put on a wrestling camp the last 3 or 4 years. he is VERY tight with our coaches and believe it or not he actually thought my mom was hot a couple of years ago and asked her to a dinner or two with the other coaches (deadly serious). I wear his "putting the chin in China" shirt fairly regularly.
Also for those interested he recently won his first pro MMA debut with a first round knockout.

Nice I didn't know Askren was going MMA. It is good to see a lot of top national wrestlers going to the sport like Rosholt, Jon Jones,Lesnar, and others. They are really starting to dominate the sport! Too bad Rosholt got his first loss at the last fight night, he looked terrible on the ground. He has a huge upside though as far as the rest of his career is concerned.

Ben Askrens gut wrench will make you puke. I know, he did it to me at the Mizzou wrestling camp we take our high school kids to.
