1st Take

1 Scoop in 16oz Water

My first serving of Serum tasted decent, and with the profile containing what it does - good. I don't know what Passion Fruit is supposed to taste like, but this did taste like a real fruit. It mixed fine in 16oz water, albeit slightly grainy. The taste is somewhat bitter, but with colder water/ice this seems like a product I could drink for a while.

DAY 1

- Food -
http://fitday.com/fitness/PublicJournals.html?Owner=AMillane7

Workout - Back, Bicep

Deadlift
225x12, 275x6, 275x6, 275x8

BB Row
135x10, 135x10, 135x10

Experience

- Felt good, energized going into workout
- Sudden sick feeling after first set
- Upset stomach truncated workout

I felt ****ty once I touched the weights, which makes me mad. I do not blame this on Serum though, as I had very little sleep last night and the previous one due to school. I'm just going to have to make sure I'm well rested and hydrated for my lift tomorrow! Off to dinner now, as the Serum can't do that for me!

AMillane7
01-31-2009, 04:45 PM
Besides being sick and having a lack of sleep, Serum seems like it needs to be well timed in order to work properly. I believe today is a good example of this.

1:00pm - Breakfast (Very heavy, lot of fat)
1:45pm - Bowl of oats
2:00pm - Serum (2 scoops)

I think that part of my stomach ache was the fact that I rushed into taking serum rather than letting my stomach fully empty. This may have been further worsened by having 2 scoops, especially on the first serving. It wasn't a stim tolerance problem, as I had 3 scoops of SuperPump250 yesterday with no problems.

This sounds pretty good. You might wanna take the whey/oats 15-30 minutes after your Serum.

Like maybe drink Serum on the last lift of the workout/immediately postworkout and then wait 15-30 min to have the whey 'n oats.

DAY 4

- Food -
http://fitday.com/fitness/PublicJournals.html?Owner=AMillane7

Day Off

Experience

- One scoop 20 mins before breakfast
- Able to nap without problem at noon
- Focus/alertness in classes
- Zero adverse effects

Worked 4-10 at my GNC today. Very busy other than my quick nap, so I apologize for a late update and no Fitday. (Got my 4000 cals and 250g protein though!) Terrible DOMS today, but I loved it; because although DOMS is not an indicator of a good workout I did my normal lifts with much greater intensity, thus the soreness. Hitting my shoulders and abs tomorrow, most likely going to try to get some cardio if possible. Thanks for stopping by everyone!

For some reason I nap amazingly well, but suck at falling asleep at night. I think it's because of the cumulative effects of constantly pumping stims into my system. 200mg caff at noon < 800mg throughout the day.

However, I am actually sleepy! BRB slumbering :)

Experience

- Stomach ache before, only used one scoop
- PR's all over military press
- Short, focused, intense workout
- Felt thick, not just pumped
- Zero adverse effects

Stomach has been rocky all day, so only had one scoop pre-workout. Mixed it with some pink lemonade mix I had, tasted great! As stated before, the PR's were a definite confidence booster. Once I hit them I was completely turned on, and hit each rep as hard as I could. Love the pumps..not just pumped but thick, if that makes sense.

- Great back pump
- Zero adverse effects

Got this workout in much to my surprise. Spent the whole rest of the day on a bus, going DC to NYC then NYC to Boston. Total trip time = 11 hours. Still managed 4000 calories, thanks to RTD's and my cooler of sandwiches. Today I plan to swing by my local gym and hit chest..may wait until tomorrow though.

I could do much more on the BB row, but only had a bar with 45's..and 5 minutes to do em all..so I just did them as quickly as possible.

Gym's 'insurance reasons' make little sense sometimes..as all lifts are essentially a risk.

Experience

- Already a new bench PR
- Arms feeling, looking, lifting huge
- Less DOMS from back workout yesterday
- Great energy and focus despite lack of sleep
- Zero adverse effects

Glad to hit the gym today, the PR was a huge boost! My back/knees are killing me from 11 hours in a bus yesterday..and another 3 at a long performance tonight. Going to eat some more and get plenty of sleep tonight. Hopefully spending most of tomorrow with my girlfriend, probably no workout.

And actually, the only thing i can see as "liability risks" would be the sleeves used to do hanging leg raises. They are made of the HD fabric. you can't clean them after you use them... so everyone's sweat accumulates in them. To me, that just says "gross infestation"

Day Off

Experience

- Nervous upset stomach
- Very little sleep, in bed most of the day
- Very low calories

Personal stuff really got to me today, stomach was upset all day, only managed to have some ginger ale and half of my VPX Protein RTD (Which was amazing.) Had my first meal around 8pm of chicken, rice, salad and milk. Going to try to get in at least a meal or shake before bed. Hopefully I can pull my mind off of this stuff. Either way, I expect to be an animal in the gym tomorrow..not sure what I plan to train but it will be hard!

Thanks for your concern guys! To be honest, I believe it's more mental than anything. My appetite dies completely when something happens that upsets, angers, saddens, etc me. I also may have an ulcer, which makes sense given my condition. Going to looking into a doctor to see whats up, as this has been a problem for a while now.

Ginger Ale works wonders when my stomach is bugging me. Mom used to always make me drink the Vernors, but I came love Canada Dry. If I ever drink pop, its Canada Dry Ginger Ale.... and even my cough drops are Canada Dry Ginger Ale flavored (yes halls makes them... look it up or I'll post a picture).

Neway, Maybe dry eating a little less at each meal, but eating more often. For a while when I was bulking I was taking down huge meals ever 3 and a half hours. This summer I realized I could eat much less at each sitting, but eat every 2 hours on the dot. It worked out a LOT better for me! (Understood this may be hard with work because work this summer messed me up a lot too).

Unless you already have a good creatine, I strongly recommend Serum! It doubles as a NO/Creatine product, and is pretty damn cheap if you compare it to getting one of each!

The beauty of serum is that it has 5 creatines, as well as 5 argenines. Makes a huge difference IMO, out of a 3,000mg blend per scoop, its got:

Creatine Ethyl Ester
Tri-Creatine Malate
Creatine Ethyl Ester Malate
Creatine Orotate
Creatine Decanoate

You should read about the guarantee on these - HILARIOUS!!!! You need to get a doctors note that says you had a very small penis before you consumed them and it was still small after! I am not joking - major lawsuit right now!! I totally want my money back!!!!

Great log up in this - keep it up!

Just a reminder to everyone, if you buy Serum and you notice it is slightly clumpy, it is totally okay - the ingredients are hydroscopic, but they are still 100% effective and potent - when the product hits water, it fully dissolves and you can get results like this!!

Energy is different..It's like I 'want' to lift..cool feeling. Taste is ok IMO, I know others like it (MBS does). It's got the slight hint of arginine to it, but definitely drinkable on a daily basis.

Love that you do a lot of olympic lifts. I miss doing those from football and might start again. Do you mean DB one hand snatch or do you mean BB? That seems like it'd be difficult to balance with a BB.

Anyway, great numbers and keep it up. Also, thanks for the kind words on Serum. Happy your liking it!
BB Snatch..**** is HARD! Loving the oly lifts too..make me feel like an athlete.

I wasn't sure... but now I believe!!

I knew that the reps would appreciate this..as it kinda is the whole point of the log to say if the product sucks or not :o...And this stuff has gone beyond my expectations.

Man, i do the DB snatch.. that's about it really. (haven't done them lately)

Don't really wanna try the BB one arm snatch. With my luck, the bar would fly into all the mirrors and probably impale someone.

Squats baby! Good job on the PR...

Calves are tricky little turds. Especially if your me because they don't grow easily. I gained a good inch off of facial stretching though. Its some intense stuff but it brings good results. Damnit I can't find the article.

Basically what you do is get as much pump in the muscle as possible during each set and then stretch the hell out of it inbetween the set and then flex it for 30 secs right after that, rest and repeat. It's some intense stuff. You def have to ease into it too to prevent injury. Pulled calve muscles suck.

Final Review

Ratings

Strength - 10/10
5 Types of creatines seemed to do the difference! Best strength gains out of any supplement I have ever had. PR's in Bench, Squat, Incline..well basically any healthy muscle got a PR. Definitely the best stuff I've used so far - Including Cell Tech.

Energy - 9/10
For the first time in my life, I actually felt over stimulated. Only one scoop worked each time, a big bonus. Long term money savings with that. Energy was there especially when rested, but when sleep was needed, effects dwindled a bit, as expected. Endurance was no problem, as the energy did not seem to taper during workouts.

Recovery - 7/10
Not really designed fully for recovery, but the BCAA and Glutamine matrix seemed to help a bit with recovery, or at least mentally helped.

Pumps - 8.5/10
Not big on training for pumps, but this seemed to be on par or better than most pump products out there. 5 Arginine matrix must have helped a bit. Seemed to get the legs better than any other product I have used before. Made me feel 'thick' rather than vascular, which I like.

Taste - 6/10
Not a fan of passion fruit, so it is hard to give input here..the creatine and arginine was evident in the flavoring, but it was not at all unbearable. Would love to try a grape, lemon etc flavoring to see how it compares.

Overall - 9/10
Training for mainly strength and size, I loved what this product brought to the table. Raw strength and a shot of energy. This product was 40 servings, and at only 1 scoop a serving opposed to gradually increasing servings saves money bigtime.

Experience

- Weight gain 5lbs lean mass
- Bench press 225lbs +3 Reps
- Squat max +15lbs
- You need a serum, brah
