i agree there. it does get sickening after a while. try mixing it with salad and cucumbers or some brown rice. it sorta takes away from the tuna taste and helps a bit.

When I got out in Oct 02 I moved to Stratford. Been here for 9 months now...I guess all I have left is to live in the NW corner.

I heard the kids where getting dumber and dumber each passing year. I also heard that moved from pot to coke also but im not sure if that is true.

omg so you really haven't heard...

...i wasn't even talking about what the kids are doing. i was never into that kind of ****, (like i don't even drink), so i was always "out of the loop" so to speak. but it was real interesting one month during gym class my senior year was devoted to "drug ed." and everything was confidential. i happened to be in a class with ALL guys who happened to be the "bad asses" of both the senior/junior classes, and it was amazing some of the stuff they shared, lol; they even estimated %'s of each drug that was being used. cigarettes/alcohol were like in the 90% range and estacy was big too, but i think that pot was still bigger than the coke (like in the 70-80% range); i'll ask my bro today - he was one of the "badasses" in the class of '02. (i don't [think] he ever did any of the serious ****, but he would know the details)

anywayz, as far as problems w/ the school - i'm not sure if you heard about "The Mold Problem." that was the big thing when i was there and the rumors got wild, lol. it wasn't any big deal though, they just had to close off some parts of the building like the auditorium and a few storage rooms. damn construction company apparently build those parts on wet lands or something. :rolleyes:

in recent years, the admistration has been going to hell with financial crisises (sp???). my mom even told me it made national news or something - like one of the meetings, but i forgot exactly what she said. apparently the person in change didn't know what he was doing, and after several years of financial mistakes the **** finally hit the fan; they were like thousands in debt, salaries of teachers had to be lowered, facualty were leaving to go to other schools, and they almost had to do away w/ the sports teams. i am so glad i'm outta there!

You know the whole school was built on swamp land!!!! All of it! They initially wanted to re propose the school building and have it built on the baseball field (which is solid ground). But they barely passed the first time they didn't want to go a second time. Also the got millions from the State and Federal system because it was a renovation and not a new school. The only thing still standing that original is the gym.

But I remember when they where laying the foundation down. They where driving 60 foot, even up to 80+ feet , steal pylons in the attempt to find beadrock. The school litterly floats on swap land. Rumor was it would sink in 25 years to the point the 1st floor would be the basement. I learn alot that year in english class. How to lay foundations, weilding, and what not. Also the place use to be a dump, so as they did some digging they would also dig up trash and lots of it.

A 100% intelligent job. I've never seen so many mistakes and stupid ideas in my life. The first 1 year in the wing we would find new cracks every week as the place "settled".


I know about the financial issues with Amity. I voted against the budget 9 times before I gave it. They would just get shot down and then re enter the same budget. WTF would they think people would do. Most of those people on the board should have faced criminal charges for the financial issues.

I was always outside of the loop till the last year. But I wasn't into alot of the dumb things. But my last year was pretty cool and laid back. Not one fight with anyone. I think it had to do that everyone smoke pot. If you could say that the tough guys at school where real hard ass punks. They where also just rich white boys faking the game. Do they still remove the trouble makers and place them in the "special" school. It started around my time, not sure if it continues, but all those trouble makers where taken to the community center in woodbridge where the cops station is. That where they would teach them. Keep them away from the rest of the population.

Oh the good days of high school.

lol, i remember that about the school being built on the swampland and the talk of whether or not it should be built on the baseball field... and speaking of cracks, you are so right about that... i dont know if you remember those big pillars by the main entrance that held up the overhang thing, but the outside parts were coming off, so they stripped them or something and now they look so ugly (and dangerous - like the whole thing is just gonna collaspe).

ha! your so right about that when you say most of those ppl on the board should have faced criminal charges! the whole budget thing was ridiculous - they would have just kept redoing it until ppl gave in and voted for it. politics. :rolleyes:

ha, yeah you should see the front of it. it doesn't look too bad though, except for those pillars.

i forgot to talk to my bro, but i'll ask him. if i remember correctly, one of his friends went up on the roof one time... errrr, maybe i'm getting that mixed up w/ the JCC (or maybe it was both :D ). lol, they done so much crap over the years i forget, but all in good fun, (he really is a good kid, he wasn't one of the mean "clicky" types, ever).

i made good use of that opening on the second floor though. junior year, i had a 7th period french class up there. i would always have a banana for snack b4 that class, and finish by the time i got up to the 2nd floor... one day my good friend that i had the class with pointed to the banana peel, and then down. i immediately got the hint and tossed the peel over. it was hilarious to hear the response it got, over the noise - "where the f*ck did that come from," "wtf was that," etc. so then it became a daily tradition after that. after a month it got boring cuz i think i only hit one person, so then i started aiming. :D ah, high school, the good old days.

Banana peels! Interesting, it was only a matter of time. Creative also! I would have thought they would have caught someone doing that or atleast some one slip on a peel. The most I saw in my years was papers and maybe someone spit once.

The only big **** I remember was:

My Sophomore year, I was in second period. Some fool, I forgot who he was but he was a senior, place a quarter stick in the bathroom. Thank god for the school he didn't flush it down. If he did, he would have blown the whole bathroom pipe system on that wing. So it blew up, I heard it, sounded like a metal chair falling from the second floor down to the first. Porcelain from the toilet was stuck on the ceiling. Some kid was in the stall next to it. He lost his hearing and lucky for him he was already sitting down on the crapper lol. Man I never saw so many kids scared that day. The cops came with the dogs, sniffing every locker for explosives. If they only had a drug sniffing dog, they would have caught a **** load of kids.

Another time some one turned on the emergency water showers in the chem. rooms. They turned one on in a room that was not used. About a week later and the water just sitting there. It managed to seep through the concert the room below. That was a bit of a surprise.

My favorite and dumbest moment was when someone forgot t close the gas value in the chem. class. Everyone left and the teacher didn't come back till an hour later. The windows and doors where closed so the room filled up pretty well. The teacher freaked out and opened the windows. She said you could see a haze in the air. Man I should have been more careful ;) or at least placed a switch somewhere. HAHA

speaking of crazy sh!t, i had a friend who graduated in either '98 or '97 and she was telling me how one day after school (at the high school) some kid took out a gun (no one was shot, and i'm not sure if he even fired), but i think she said it happened outside, like on the football field or something like that. i thought she said it was during band practice, (but unless it was like a graduation rehersal or something), i can't imagine why they would be out on the football field... but this was going back at least 7 yrs. ago, so i don't remember much of the story.

i'm not a big partier. i've been to a few clubs, but i dont drink, ever. i love to dance though, (i'm probably pretty bad, cuz i never go out), but most of my friends are not into clubbing/the bar scene, and it would suck to go alone. my brother, on the other hand... :rolleyes: badass! you'd probably recognize him/know him personally, lol.

wow! awesome you think like that! :) i could care less if my friends get piss drunk each time, as long as they don't do anything real stupid to endanger their lives/others; i have nothing against it at all (do what makes you happy kinda thing), and i don't see them/me any better for drinking/not drinking; but it sucks, cuz most of the big partiers think the opposite, like, 'if your not into drinking, you suck @$$ and are the biggest loser on the planet.'

Good luck on the diet thing. I went to the Orange Worlds gym a few years back. I liked it. I thought I would be all cool and go at like 6am. I mean who else would go? Well almost everyone and there mothers. Wow was it tough. One early morning a fellow trainor caught me napping between sets on the bench press machine. HAHA I knew after that, I had to fine another time to go lol.

I hear they want to build an LA fitness in the lot where sears and service merchandise use to be. IF they do that will be cool. They will have courts and a pool. What a real gym should be.

lol, that's too funny. you probably know exactly who i am... depending on what time you go, (only rarely have i've been there b4 12:00); normally i go between 6:30-11:00 PM. i usually don't do a whole lot of cardio when i'm there cuz i'm saving the treadmill for a last resort, but the past two weeks, w/ the cold/snow, i've done most of my running inside. i'm like 5'3" and always warm up w/ a hat/gloves on - ya can't miss me! i can't even tell you what color, cuz i have so many freakin hats/gloves it's different everytime. i'll definitely be there tomorrow nite cuz its a lifting day for me, but i'm gonna try to do most of my running outside. according to my dad it's supposed to be "warm"

When I was young I thought CT was crap. A boring little state or nothing near new york. I got older I realized we got a sweet spot up here.

1) No crazy animals that can kill us with poison. Never have to worry about checking your shoes before you put them on for scorpions.

2) Highest per capita for military defense. We are all in the black for a nuke strike. lol

3) We have real good pizza (New Haven)

4) Invention of the burger

5) No major earthquakes

6) No major hurricanes

7) When we get that mega tsunamis (500 m waves), we have long island to take the blunt of the blow.

8) Terrorist over look us for New York.

9) We have new york and boston to visit but don't have to deal with the crap on an ongoing basis. I like to live in a boring place and visit exciting place.

i was thinking the same thing about CT... but when you said that you also like VT and PA... that's just too much... (WEAHTER ASIDE), VT has always been my favorite state. i always told everyone i would move there if it weren't so f*ckin cold... until i really had a chance to go thru the heart of PA... omg, PA won my heart (except for Scranton :D )!

about CT, i tell everyone CT rulz!!!!!!!!!!! pround to be from CT, rock on!!! i'm so f*ckin sick of going everywhere and ppl saying, "ugh, it's so boring where i live, there's nothing to do..." blah, blah, blah. (i mean, freakin Florida... come ppl!). it's nice to from be somewhere where ppl are proud to be where they're from (like Texas); LOL, the "rumors" about the whole "Texas attitude" thing and them thinking TX is the greatest really were true... they even had "Texas" and the state flag on the beer bottles! but being from CT, i found (at least the Dallas/Fort Worth area) really trashy. not as an insult, but in the literally sense. you think new haven or hartford is dirty, visit dallas, and you'll know what i mean. anyways, CT was far better :) LOTS more to do, MUCH prettier, MUCH cleaner, and right next to NYC if your into mad partying (batz, lol, that's so true about having cities like NYC and Boston nearby w/o having to deal w/ that crap). we really have it d@mn good here in the northeast!

every machine is just like brand new.
um, they just laid off there weight boys so it kinda sucks looking for weights.
its a pain in the ass.
they were doing such a good job, weights were perfectly in the right spots.
dont get me wrong, im not lazy, i can put away the weights right.
but what im saying is that you have the idiots who just mix up the 45's and teh 25's and the 10's all on the same post on teh rack so if you want a dime you have to take off all the other weights just to get it it.
i know its simple and all, but for a gym that charges that much money(liek 700 a year) they really should have them working there.
i think they even got rid of the cleaning crew too. guess its all done in house now.
oh well.

holy sh!t i never knew they had weight boys! lol, it cracks me up when ppl ask about them "redoing" World Gym. that place is constantly being "redone", lol... last winter when i came home on break i went there to workout and didn't recognize the place, then like 9 months later (this past september when i joined), it looked totally different again. that's like the awesomest f*ckin gym i've ever been too, by far. not to mention the new (longer) hours :) and i don't know wtf's up w/ them redoing the wallpaper in the locker rooms... it was totally fine, and then one day i come and they're tearing it down. omg... the "new" cybex treadmills just kick @$$ too... like the one and only treadmill i have been able to run on since i hurt my knee last december. and that big screen tv/leather couches... damn i'm gonna miss the gym when i go up to UCONN! weather permitting, i will definitely be back on the weekends unless UCONN's facilities proves =/better, which i highly doubt.

I own a big rig, its small single axle, i sub contract for a place in west haven and pick up smashed trailers that people break and bring them to the shop to be repaired and then drop them off to the customer agian.
kinda liek a towtruck for trailers.
who else does that? thats why i make the big bucks :-)
since thats not a 7-5 job, my pops ownes lots of property in west haven and orange so i do "property management" for our family business.

hey, did you make it to the gym last week on friday or saturday during that snowstorm??? getting snowed in it sucked so bad! get this - my dad wouldn't let me go to the gym on friday (it had just started snowing, but hadn't even started sticking to the ground), yet he lets me go on saturday, (when the roads/things looked 10x worse). and after the gym, i did some xmass shopping, and then get home and he is bored and takes me to a movie. so basically we were driving around all day more than we normally would :rolleyes: :D i had fun though, but i had to haul ass in the gym to finish my workout cuz they closed early. this week i watched the weather, and i'm hitting the weights tomorrow, for sure!

I work for a computer company that handles the electronic transactions for member firms of the new york stock exchange. It doesn't sound that great trust me. I have to deal with traders all day and other techs. **** has to be fixed in like 5 minutes or people flip out. I try not to take it to personal and get stressed by it. I figure its there money and not mine. HAHA

I don't have to worry about the snow storm to lift :) I have the gym in my basement.

that would be awesome to have a gym in your basement... like if your in a hurry, wanna workout in the middle of the nite/holidays, and of course snowstorms. but if i had to choose, i'd join a gym! nothing gets me pumped more than having a gym full of ppl busting ass! but not all gyms have a good # of members that take their workouts seriously so that would suck to be at a gym like that

cant even find a job.
im thinking about going to vet school.

my **** car is awesome in snow/ice. i should've gone the backroads instead of the merrit though cuz i passed like 4 accidents in a mile so traffic got kinda backed up. ended up taking like 50 min to get there too :p i had a wonderful run though; i was wired by the time i finally got there. i never made it to the supplement stores today, (thank gosh i found some extra Ca), so i'm planning on going tomorrow.

Im with dressagerulz23, terrible with names but never forget a face (unless is a mug shot :) ). Ya you should have taken the backroads instead the merritt. They don't plow that highway that much at all. In the big snow storms it turns from 2 lanes to 1 and if you need to get off at an exit ramp watch out. I had alot of crazy things happen and I seen even more on that highway. Once I saw a 3 car accident and then not even 500 feet a 4 car pile up. I was talking that cop at the scene, he had his work cut out for him.

I live on route 34 so there so when I was shoveling and using the snow blower I realized they where not getting the snow in the front my driveway / street. So I said F it, no one is getting out today. I'll worry about it tomorrow. Its not like I want to go to work on time anyway lol. Man Im going to go get sick wednesday so I can see the LOTR3. I need my accidental day off.

Im going to head to sup next week for my drugs. Well thats how my family calls it. They give me alot of **** for taking straight protein from protein factory. Saying Its bad for my heart and ****. Geez it never ends with anything I take. So Im forced to hide the stuff. Man at first my mom thought the protein was steriods. She still thinks it is kinda. Then my sister Fiance gives them BS info because he goes to the gym and he has a trainer. Like the protein is making me fat. Of course it is, it couldn't be the damn cheeseburger they bought for me from burger king. That can't be it all, with the large order of fires. People!

Im not fat thought, just got a small gut which im too lazy to have a strict diet to loose. What drive my family nuts was with in th 1yr and half ive been lifting Ive gained like 45 lbs. Not all fat but some is. But I guess they where happy to see me at 6' tall with 150 lbs soaking wet. People again!

my parents and i have our disagreements, but as far as food/supplements go, my parents are the greatest! i have a crazy "condition" and have basically been "my own pharmacist" for the past few yrs. i've done my research, i know whats in the **** i take, and the dangers/risks/etc., but i also know NOT to abuse those kinds of supps and just use them therapeticually. whenever i have a doctors appointment, and i pull out my supps (esp the ephedra-based energy/fat burner one), like all but 2 of the doc's (the two most qualified and knowledgable ones, lol) "jump down my throat" and start bashing me w/o even hearing what i have said. then they try to "zing it to me" by giving me this look and rudely asking ...and do your parents know your taking that stuff??? :mad: i sit there calmly, look them straight in the eyes, and reply, "yeah, of course! and my mom buys it for me." :D at this point they look like they're about to **** and i have to bite my cheeks to keep from laughing (i know they are just concerned and trying to do their jobs, but they really don't even listen to me and immediatley start to give me hell; their ignorance cracks me up).

Sorry I meant my sister's fiance. My sister and me are not tight but tight. We never got along ever. Its like the cold war between USA and Russia. But that doesn't mean we wouldn't help each other out. She is sides with my mom as she has no clue what she is talking about. This is the same person that has milk and cookies for breakfast. LOL I laugh so hard when I see her do that. I snack on cookies if lucky once a week. She takes a pack down in a day. I've learn to live with there "talk", I know they just care. Also no point in showing data to them it means nothing to them and they can always say the source is not reliable.

Can I ask what your condition is ? Just curious. I totally agree sometimes you have to play doctor for yourself.Half the doctors out there dont know crack. I had one doctor who sucked so bad. He could care less with what i did or what i do. I could tell him I was taking herion and he be thats cool. I had dizziness spell, guy just over looked it. When I say a new doctor I got it checked out right and sent to a specialist who was able to tell me whats up. No im into preventive medicine, I don't want to fall to the wayside as some people. Worse part, you know how like the HMOs are all into preventive medicine now (b/c it saves money). Well I go to my doctor for a physical and then I find out that under there guidelines, yearly physical checkups for people my age is once every 5 years. I was totally shocked. Alot can happen in 5 years.

Alot of people go nuts over the use of ephedra. I think it has to do with the fact the media feeds the fuel and that fen-fen issue a few years back. Every major case where they brought a person that died from it had like a dozen other red line issue that also played a cause. Either the person was fat, to hot outside, not enough water, or etc. I had a friend who took rip fuel for 2 years straight. He thinks its the cause for his thiriod problem. He could be right, but he took it for 2 years straight everyday. That right there is abusive.

So the people jump on it as its a bad thing, but if people follow the guide lines on the package they would be fine. I don't take it personally because I don't like to get the jitters. But I might give it try someday. Maybe next year. As long as your careful you should be fine.

hey guyz! not much... oh man, does anyone know of a store where i can find chairs (like office or desk chairs)??? i don't care what they look like, but my back gets sore so easily, and i'm going crazy trying to find one. i went to someplace downtown today with my dad in New Haven, and then out to a bunch of the furniture stores on the post road (which don't even sell those kinds of chairs). we also went to Costco and of the TWO chairs they had, one was actually pretty comfortable; but then again the only real way to tell is to get it home and sit in it for several hours. then at the end of the week (if you make it that long) and your back's not killing ya, i guess it would pass the test. tomorrow we're gonna hit officemax and a few places like that, and then back to costco to try this new one they're getting in tomorrow.

actually World Gym is becoming planet fitness :p yeah they were "scared" of LA fitness (competition/prices) but we are getting a ****LOAD of memberes which is awesome cuz PF (really WG!!!) wont go outta business now, but the gym "environment" is now gonna be real different (w/ less hardcore ppl), but a least it will stay in bus.

college... errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! the 1st 2 dayz EVERYTHING went wrong!!! LOL, but i got thru the 1st week and things are really sweet now... holy ****, i really lucked out w/ classes, parking, housing, getting my classes transferred :cool: etc.

weekends i will be coming home to kick the **** outta my weight wrkouts on fri and sun cuz the equipment sucks royal dick here for abs. at least i'm all set for cardio. i'm not bored which is a good thing and i no longer have to be perfect in my classes which is really awesome too! other than the weather and the EARLY classes, things are all good! :)

i dont know where that is, but thats where gavin coombs goes (and his sister megan). gavin's been tearin up the distance running seen in CT for a while, and megan was one of the top runners in CT when she was in hs as well. i competed against her my junior year. oh yeah, i dont know where griswold is but i know its not anywhere near new haven, or i would've had to bust my ass in every track/cc meet cuz i would've had to race megan often ;)

i dont know where that is, but thats where gavin coombs goes (and his sister megan). gavin's been tearin up the distance running seen in CT for a while, and megan was one of the top runners in CT when she was in hs as well. i competed against her my junior year. oh yeah, i dont know where griswold is but i know its not anywhere near new haven, or i would've had to bust my ass in every track/cc meet cuz i would've had to race megan often ;)


I went to school with Megan, she was a year ahead of me. I havent seen her since hs tho, do you know how she's doing? And yea, that whole family is nuts at track.

hey luis! things are going great at college! i really got lucky w/ everything, LOL. esp my parking and transferring of credits.

big red - i haven't talked to megan in a REALLY long time... last time i spoke w/ her was at the ACC championships in NC for xc in the fall of 2000. i saw some results after that and noticed that she was running really well compared to hs, and that her times had really improved. i dont have much time to really follow track/xc now. geez, i'm surprised more ppl dont know where griswold is being near the casinos but i'm sure no one forgets when you tell them that.

and luis... speaking of running, i haven't "run" in like a month... well this past week i ran a total of like 5 miles... but prior to this week, it was like a month! :p

HAH, i just checked the wether online 2 seconds ago and it went from tomroow rain and friday night rain to 4 DAY OF RAIN! including saturday which was soposed to be the nicest!

Anyone drive I-95? God damn it. Some stupid lady cut of a truck fuel of home fuel oil. Now the high is going to be closed for the next 10+ days. Man it was a killer for me to find my way through bridgeport but It was smooth sailing when I got back on the highway and such.

I avoided the parkway, I took my chances on I95. It was not to bad till you had to get off in bridgeport. Then it got interesting. Well atleast you wont have any problems now, the highway is back up and everything is running smoothly. Just have to becareful of not getting caught speeding around there. There is like a dozen cop cars there at any time pulling anyone over for going faster than 45 mph.

I did in high school for a year. I liked it alot. I was ok at it. My stamina is what always killed me. I was at a friends house and wreslted the kid, he use to wrestle. It was entertaining for sure. But it be nice to do it more often but that is kinda hard since there is no clubs in this area for wrestling. There is some in MA and NY.

i wrestle too. I had a scholaship,but lost it. There is USA Wrestling tournements in the spring and summer. The only class you can eneter and you will be wrestling nothing ,but ex state and New England champs. Most of these bros are in there mid to late 20's in the open one bro is like 45 that kicks everyones ass at all the comps.His name is Orlando or something like that dont if he still does the comps though.I havent domne them in a couple years.
