fuuu so last week I felt a strange feeling on my neck and i was like lolwut?

so i let it continue for a couple days, it got worse, now my throat feels like its being pushed inwards or something so i went to the doctors and i got bloodwork done and im waiting on what the true diagnosis is. at first i thought it was an infection of some sort, but there arent any symptoms of one.

so im gonna take it easy for the next couple days and focus on studying for finals!

then summer!!!!

worst past month of my life. havent been able to gym consistantly because of everything that happened, with moving, finals, throat pain,

i decided that next week i begin 5x5 again i wanna have a good base by the end of summer. hopefully konukee will join me.

im going to slowly start getting back on track, this time i need more realistic short term goals and then keep the progress.

this summer has been like a rollercoaster ride, ive had my good weeks then there was always a time where i messed up and had to start over...well right now im at a pretty good point im going to start updating my journal again.

Im taking a beginning weight training class at my school just for fun, its just a room filled with machines and cables, the instructor was a bodybuilder and she told me about this guy that she trained with who was disabled in a wheel chair then when i recognized the name i realized the guy was a high school teacher i had and he goes to the gym i go to.

Where I've Been:
Fall quarter has just ended, for the first 5 weeks i was doing absolutely awesome, I was in the best shape of my life but it all came to an end when something terrible started. I noticed my lymph nodes were tender but I thought it was nothing serious, I visited my doctor and she tested me for west nile virus but it came back negative and an ultrasound of some lymph nodes . A few days later I began having fevers, chills, and intense headaches. I could not even function properly. my second doctor visit tested for mono and stds but were all negative. A few days later it was unbearable and the fevers were high so my girlfriend took me to emergency where they thought i could have meningitis but were doubtful due to the lack of upper respiratory symptoms, they proceeded to take a urine sample, chest xray and 11 blood samples, all the tests were negative. I was referred to an infectious disease specialist where I had an additional 25 vials of blood taken and all tested negative for the exception of excess clumping of red blood cells. I also had a ct scan of my head which was normal, and a spinal tap which was tested for infections, there were white blood cells present but no infection. the days following the spinal tap were the worst because the magnitude of the headaches was insane, and because of this i spent my entire thanksgiving break laying down. luckily by the 4th week of this pain the fevers and headaches faded away but the lymph nodes remained inflamed and i had a brief 4 day period of the stomach flu. today i had a follow up appointment with the infectious disease specialist and she basically told me our choices are to have one of the lymph nodes seen by a surgeon so we can have a biopsy. she put in referrals for a fully body ct scan and chest ultrasound only if the fevers return because I don't need unnecessary radiation exposure.

gym after work which consisted of 30min of cardio and random ab work but not too intense because i want to ease my body into it.

update:
yesterday I had a consultation visit with a surgeon regarding the swollen lymph nodes, they did an aspiration of one of the bigger nodes in my right leg near my groin, but they said its too risky to use any local anesthetics so i felt every thing. feels bad man... hopefully they could get some good info from the sample they took. I also have an echocardiogram and full body ct scan scheduled in the coming weeks.

I have work today I will go to the gym afterwards

a series of unfortunate events......
it seems like this is still not over

this is roughly the end of week 8 of being ill

had a bone marrow biopsy on thurs as well as a full body ct scan and more blood tests, i have surgery in 2 weeks to remove a lymph node.

mega bump update!

Ok so for now all the testing and whatnot is done with, i feel much better and the bone marrow aspiration/biopsy came back with good results same with the biopsy of the lymph node, there is non-specific casieating granulmonas, the doctors think it could be sarcoidosis and they also noticed a nodule in my lung, i went to a pulmomologist and they basically told me to come back either in 6 months to get an xray to see if it enlarges or come back if i notice pain.

so ive been out for about 4 months and its been hell, i know i couldve eaten better but it was just so tough being down about this illness.

My gym membership was up at the end of february so instead of renewing it i bought some equiptment to build a little gym in my garage. its a work in progress but i have enough to begin ss 5x5 again. i will update with pictures later on.

I will continue updating my workouts more often once finals are done with so in 2 weeks.
