Used the search button many times and most of the threads I found about benchs had comments from tools like you saying use the search button!!
But thanks anyway bud nice try, not funny...
Lighten up man, Wildtim has helped dozen of guys like you and I with recommendations about equipment. Besides, the video was kind of funny...

That's the first time I've seen him use it.
Not that it matters though, videos like that are made because your post is not the first time somebody has come in here without doing there homework.
If you don't have the time to research, then get what you think is most appropriate. You'll either back into something nice or fail with some junk like a lot of us have in the past.
The search feature is there for a reason, Wildtim does help people out with just about every post he makes, he was simply stating the obvious for you.
OH, and all bench presses suck balls. There's your advice.

Hi mate, I don't know of any decent bench that you can do squats off. Save up a bit extra or see if you can find a good second hand power rack.
Accutron
01-21-2009, 08:38 PM
For bench as you mean the main thing I would recommend a BodyByJake.
LOL
You should just get a PowerRack. I really like my Powertec PPR. You can bench and squat off it and its full adjustable.
New they are 499. Used you can find it, or a comparable quality rack, for 150-400 or so, including bench, bar, plates, and the rack. Id just go used.
Unless youve been working out for a long time and know EXACTLY what you want. Otherwise just see what pops up and ask for advice in the CL thread if its a good deal or not. You can save a lot of money, and get higher quality stuff this way.

Like most of the guys here I prefer a power rack, but I found this Olympic Style bench for you for $347.00 with free shipping, so that should be in your price range. It's Body Solid which is decent. I ordered from this company once and had no problems. Good luck.

You can get attachments for it to do everything that you required in your original post.

I like the lat & row attachment.

Now that I can help with sort of. The actual rated capacity doesn't appear to show up anywhere on the internet that I can find, even Body Solids home page doesn't seem to display it, however most reviews of this product say that guys haven't had any problems or worries with anything up to 500#. Of course if you drop the bar from overhead its going to break but I'd assume that about almost any rack on the market including most commercial ones.
Bayou fitness does have the best price on the net for this rack plus free shipping, you can't beat that buying new.
Their FID bench gets good reviews too, as does the ironmaster bench.
The reason you need to read threads and do your own research is because every guy has the feeling that what he owns is the best. The only way you are going to get whats best for you is to read what every guy has to say about the product they have and then see what criticisms of it pop up. And from that decide who's recommendation to trust. Heck I bet there is a guy out there who would say "Body By Jake benches are the ****!!! get one!!!" Unless you read more of what he's written you won't know he's a dillhole.

True. Plus, others have had experiences with other benches and they will provide comparisons of what they like and what they don't.

Multi-press rack by body solid MODEL GPR370 for 374.00 free shipping
I own this rack and it's a very solid piece. It's commercial rated for 1,000 lbs. and have a very polished look. It is also available on ebay from jessup gym for $349 with free shipping. I've used both this and a number of different full power rack and it's a matter of preference. I will say the GPR takes up a smaller footprint and it's easier to maneuver the bench in and out of a half rack. You really can't go wrong with this or the powerline full rack for 350.00 as listed above.
As far as benches, the body solid GFID line are all very nice. In addition, you can't go wrong with any commerical models from cybex, parabody, hoist, york, etc.
Good luck with whatever you decide. The most important aspect is actually using what you buy. :)

Yeah well I am glad I created this post cause I was gonna go with a golds gym GB2000 and now I am pretty sure that cage is the one for me,Plus I already have the ironmasters bench with all the attachments and the 120lb quick lock dumbells so this will be a great set up!

I know someone on here has but I can't remember who, I remember some comments about it possibly getting in the way when trying to do inclines off the back of the rack. If you have space for the bowfles and a powerrack, I'd keep my eyes on the used market for a stand alone high low pully that takes free weights. Use the bowflex until you get the better piece then sell that off for the space and some cash in hand.

Yeah I got the whole set with the 120lb upgrade and all the attachments and love it but the only 2 bad things about it are some of the plates are thicker than others so it can be a pain in the ass trying to get the quick-lock
to turn and finding the right combo of plates to make it!!
Also the preacher pad is garbage its way to low making you lean to far into it and strain your lower back but besides that I love everything.

Now the bowflex revolution dont get to much action these days!!!Check your plates and see if they nest properly with no gap in between. If there's a gap, you might want to call Ironmaster and replace the plates. They will replace them for you, if you tell them the problem. I still run into locking problems, but it's alot better after replacing 2 plates that were misaligned.
