So I decided to set myself a deadline for two reasons:
a) if I don't, I know I'll never achieve anything,
and b) my girlfriend is going traveling in a week and she's not getting back 'til the end of April, thus the 99 day deadline.
I will be a better person, physically and mentally, by this deadline.
Height: 185cm (6'1")
Starting Weight: 79.4kg (175lbs)
Goals:
185lbs lean (visible abs) by the end.
10x70kg (155lbs) bench press without struggling.
5x100kg (220lbs) squat (front and back).
Format:
I will post workouts, diet info, and progress pictures when I take them.
Help and support is appreciated!

Bench press: 10x52.5kg (115lbs), 6x52.5kg (115lbs), 5x50kg (110lbs), 7x45kg (100lbs)
Inc DB Press: 12x15kg, 10x15kg, 8x15kg
Inc DB fly: 12x10, 12x10, 12x10
Rope pushdowns: 12x35kg, 10x40kg, 9x40kg, 6x45kg
Overhead db extension: 10x17.5kg, 10x17.5kg, 8x17.5kg, 12x15kg
Took some whey & creatine post workout. Gonna buy some AAKG & dextrose so I can mix up some energy drinks for during workouts to keep me 100%.

id say just make one big shake post wo with about 60g dextrose, 40g protein and 5-10g monohydrate, i tihnkt aht would be better than sipping one in your workout, just dirnk water for that.
if u take ym advice make sure to get a good pre WO meal.

IMO I think you could achieve a lot more in 99 days. Set those targets a little higher! :p I reckon you could get that squat upto 100kgx5 in 3 months, and the bench upto around 70kgx10.

Dunno mate, I find I get pretty tired at the gym, even after choking down a huge bowl of oats. I reckon a big shaker full of carbs/creatine/caffeine/AAKG will do me a world of good.

Plan on mixing 5-10g creatine, maybe 40g dextrose, 200mg caffeine, 2g AAKG with 700ml water and sipping that during my workout to keep me energized/pumped.

Nice one, always best to aim higher I think! Front squats 100kgx5 might be quite tricky to get, but with back squats I see no reason why not :D

I wouldn't worry if your chest isn't sore, doesn't mean it was a bad workout.

Just wanted to binge like **** to help ease my DOMS :) Plus I did a lot of walking that day (had class and house viewings and ****) so I would have burned off a lot.
I will take that lube next month, thanks babe.

Well ****, that was a fantastic workout :) All my lifts are up from last week, and the DOMS in my legs has just about cleared up - maybe thanks to the 4200kcal and 292g of protein I choked down yesterday! Thank the lord for greedy rest days....... :D
Gonna see if I can get some pics tomorrow morning, and I'll weigh in on sunday.

^This. 100kgx5 front squat is pretty damn heavy man, you'd need a pretty impressive back squat to pull that off.

^This. 100kgx5 front squat is pretty damn heavy man, you'd need a pretty impressive back squat to pull that off.
My front squat is pretty much the same as my back squat atm, since I used to do front squats in my garage before I had access to a squat rack.

Did legs today, went pretty damn well. Squatted my first pair of 45s for six reps, felt I had a fair bit more to give, too. Legs are wobbly as **** atm.
All I've got to do now is eat like a mo'f*cker.

Workout was alright, was pretty tired at the time so not fantastic. I didn't get a shoulder pump sadly (never do), and don't know if it worked that well. Might need to re-evaluate my shoulder routine :(
Here's what I did:
Standing mil. press: 4x7-10
Lat raise: 3x8-10
BB front raise: 2x10
Upright row: 2x8
Arnold press: 2x6-8

Just got back from my lectures, damn that was a good workout session :)
Set a new PR on bench, and implemented skullcrushers as my primary tricep routine, which I feel went really well, destroyed my triceps :D
I am feeling pretty fantastic right now ^_^

tried a little AAKG today without working out, didn't feel any different - I dunno what I expected anyway haha.
Following some advice I was given I'm gonna change my split to chest/biceps, back/triceps instead of the other way round.
So tomorrow would be back/triceps day but I did chest/triceps yday, so I'm just gonna do Back tomorrow, maybe with a little bicep work thrown in as an afterthought.
Gonna try 40g dextrose, 2-3g AAKG, and one 200mg caffeine pill with about 700ml water, that *should* last me all workout.
Also, managed 3800kcal today, pretty solid number.

Today's back/biceps workout was alright, but my drink didn't kick in until like half way through the workout. Next time I'm gonna take it before a workout and hope it works better.
Still managed to set a new PR on ez-curl though, 11x75lbs or so.
Not counting cals today - got a sandwich and I didn't know how many cals in it, and I don't feel like guessing. Gonna get some cheat food maybe later on :)

****ing rocked in the gym today, set a new PR on every lift :)
My preworkout drink seemed to be working pretty damn well, had loads of energy and by the time I arrived I was bouncing off the walls and so ready for lifting.
My squat is at 5x65kg, leaving me 35kg off my goal with 90 days remaining, I estimate I'll get about another fifteen leg sessions in at my current rate, so I only have to add 2.5kg per workout to reach my goal :)

I used to work out late afternoon but since i've been doing it in the morning i've noticed i feel alot better and more pumped for the next session.

I used to go in the afternoon, switched to the morning, puts me in a good mood all day. I'm still up at 2am though, would have to be up at like 7am to workout, doesn't look like it's gonna happen :( Might have to take a rest day, I can't sleep for ****.

bunch of cock. Slept in today as i had a rough night, got to the gym by 11am, but thanks to the snow it was packed as ****. Waited 5m for a free bench, nothing came up so I thought 'f*ck it' and left. Waste of pre-workout drink, and now I'm in a f*ckin' bad mood.
Might try again later, or just wait until tomorrow morning will probs be easier.

if you want 100kg squat and 70kg bench do a more simple program.
your doing too many exercises.

Better. Hit the gym today after my pre-workout shake, didn't get that many sets done on chest and didn't get as many reps as I wanted on bench but I reckon I've still made progress.
Managed to get 3600kcal in today, too, with like 236g protein.
Though sadly only weighed in at 80kg (176lbs) this morning :/

Well I have certainly been slacking on this journal...
What's new? Having started stronglifts 5x5 my motivation has hit a new low, because lifting isn't fun right now, it's just boring - nobody enjoys going out and squatting 50lbs less than their 5rm for 5 reps, do they? But I'm persevering. In a few weeks I should be up to squatting my normal weight, then it'll get interesting again.
Diet hasn't been going so hot recently either, was hungover yesterday so I just tried to eat all I could, probably only ended up on like 3000kcal, but today I'm gonna rock it.
Also today is a gym session, am eating my oats and sipping my pre-workout drink atm. When I'm done, gonna talk to the trainers at my gym about coaching my squat form.
ALSO, as soon as my new headphones arrive, I'm gonna start trying my endurance and lungpower - I'm tired of getting out of breath really easily and breaking a sweat walking up a hill. I've been inspired by the rugby too, a lot of powerful characters on there (no homo) who I envy.

Nothing to report. Worked out today, met all my targets. Didn't count cals today, probably didn't exceed 4000 but definitely >3000.
Been reading Starting Strength today, wrote down a whole bunch of things to improve my squat form, gonna go do some cardio tomorrow and maybe try some of them out with an empty bar.

Shaved my head today, I look like a right knob [no Dr. Cox]. In some weird way, it's gonna inspire me to work harder [no crazy person]. Gotta get my act together and see some GAINS! Not gonna drink any alcohol for a while, gonna get my diet SPOT ON and work out fckn hard.
My squat is up to 5x5x60kg, which is cool. No big achievement, but my form is better than it's ever been. Tomorrow AM I meet my personal trainer who's gonna help me get my squat/deadlift (and bench/row to a lesser extent) *perfect*.
Aaaaaaaalso I've decided to add some calf raises and wrist work to my workout, because I have the calves of a 12 year old girl.

u prolly hit ur chest fine but the chest is such a large muscle its harder to get it sore but that didnt mean you didnt hit it hard,although if you know you coulda done better then obviously give it all you got next time

i read all the post on ur thread and a few of my opinions are
1.quit the alcohol its high in calories that dont help you with ****
2.dont leave the gym just cuz its crowded thats bitch ****,no matter how long you have to wait youll feel better when ur done with ur workout
i envy you guys who are 6 ft + and are tryin to gain weight lol idk what my body type is but im 6,2 all my genes are from cold as hell countries and i put on muscle really easy as well as fat and once its on its hard to get the muscle/fat off which is killin me while im tryin to cut down to 200 lol
never doubt your ability,doubt is the beginning of failure so stick with ur goals hard work is the key to success

3800kcal today, 285g protein. Might grab a PB sandwich or something before bed just for a little kick :)
Gonna get a mad early night, like 10pm or something, and hit the gym early tomorrow, I'm feeling pretty good about it :)

71 days to go...
Hit 5x5x65kg squat yday. Also got 5x5x50kg bench, which I struggled on too much :( Counting cals today, shooting for 4000+. Gonna do a bit of cardio too :)
Also, booked a doctor's appointment for tomorrow afternoon, getting a routine blood test, hopefully to clear things up.

Good work on the squats man, and good work on the 348grams protein the other day, thats a solid 148 grams more than what i'm getting.

Squatted 5x5x67.5kg today, felt good :) Dunno why but I managed less chin ups than I did last session, maybe because squat was heavier? Oh well.

dont worry about the chinups, you were probly just a little stricter with form or something stupid like that, aslong as they move in the right direction over the course of months, its all gravy baby.

Hungover as fck yesterday, spent most of the time in bed or eating (or both).
Today went alright, hit the gym and met all my targets - 5x5x70kg squat, will be at BW level pretty soon :) 4300kcal today, 307g protein. Also ordered some more supps:
1kg whey,
100g taurine, (supposed energy boost)
100g l-tyrosine (mood boost, cortisol decrease)
50g flavouring,
250 omega 3 (1000mg) caps
also gonna stop drinking for quite a while unless there's a really good reason. It's hard cuz I wanna socialize and meet new people (improve myself mentally) but I'm pretty boring without booze, lulz.

Are you noticing any fat gains while on 4300cal?

I think I might be, but my waist size hasn't gone up yet so I'm not gonna worry about it.
Anyway ****, traps are sore as hell this morning from the smith shrugs last night. Motivation this morning is jacked, weighed in at 83.1kg this morning (183lbs), pretty happy with that :) Gonna head to the gym for some cardio!
