the smith machine at my gym is a little funky so I don't use it that much.... and I'll add dumbell bench press

so for a simple term, i've got ****ty ankles and lost the genetic lottery.

My bad ankles come from my genetics (along with my shortish height). I posted this in my friend EC_Muscle's Journal:

until I have the expensive surgery where they reroute the ligaments through holes they drill in my ankles... but they loosen up again so id have to have the surgery in 20 or so years after that... maybe sooner... this really is an unreliable surgery... it lasts normally 10 years, my doctor said one patient it lasted a week and another 25 years... so it really is dependent on a million things =/

Make sure to vary your ab work, variation (especially with this muscle group) is good to make them defined. Anything you can think of to train them never hurts.
