I tried Keto for 2 weeks and the lack of carbs made me unbearably angry all day and anything made me just lose my temper in a snap. Anybody else felt that way?

I never noticed it though a few days ago I practically had a meltdown and flipped off the mall security guard and wanted to beat his ass. I've not noticed in the past if there is a correlation. It's probably grumpiness from not being able to enjoy the foods you want.

Personally, being on any diet puts me in a bad mood.

most people become very calm once they're over the carb and sugar withdrawal. you won't have the mood swings that come with the need for constant insulin spikes.

Not at all. If anything, I feel more relaxed.

Actually I wanted to clarify, I don't think the anger is a result of no carbs but rather higher testosterone levels(because of the high fat content).

Not always. some people are always grumpy while on keto.

i sleep great now - at least 7 hrs/night, and that has a lot to do with a sane outlook and attitude.

The key with teh mood swings is the hydration. If you are hydrated and are taking the proper vitamins and such, you should be fine.
I think that was my problem in the past.

lol nice
the induction phase (usually first 2 weeks) is probably the most likely time that keto would affect your mood negatively. i have never been a moody person and being on keto really had no effect on my mood whatsoever.

Agreed!

I really must agree with this. I am usually pretty bitchy, but when I am on Keto, I am probably happier at that time that any other. I relaxed, nothing bothers me (not too bad anyhow) and not near as uptight as normal.
Not only can I tell a DRAMATIC difference but even my sister 1,600 miles away can tell when I am on the Keto diet. She eve says I seem so much happier and alive then ever before.

It will get better. Its part of the adjustment process your body is going through. Soon, the mood swings will be gone. A while after that, you'll not even notice when you swing from sucrosis to keto. It just takes a little time...

Thank you, I've noticed I've been very short with everyone, including my wife (which I feel bad about)... gonna try drinking more water and take my multi twice a day.

Yea, this diet tends to slowly dehydrate you and it sneaks up on you daily.

The only side effect I've noticed is I like to pick fights with canadians and in the morning i feel like I have a hangover from hell. Always have to spend the first hour of my day hydrating or I feel like poo.

Thanks for the suggestions I've been drinking a lot more water and noticed I'm not as pissed off however it's probably more of a psycological thing than a diet related side effect

Oh my god! I can't beleive you would ask a question like this!!!?!?!1 eleventy1billion!!!1
Hehe. Really though, other than when some people are first getting over the carb addiction, it's mostly smooth sailing. Unless you are dehydrated, but then you look and feel like crap in that condition, so it makes sense that your mood goes down the pooper then too. :)
