i've been doing defranco's "agile 8" and it seems to help loosen the hips a lot

I've heard a lot about that, is it worth it? Not just to improve flexibility, but I've also heard it's good for stretching/recovering, etc.

I'm not an expert on the reason why it works (something to do with loosing and stretching muscle tissue i believe but dont quote me on it) but if your dedicated to it, it sure makes you feel great the day after. Especially when dealing with leg workouts, from my personal experience I feel so much better if I use a foam roller... I read up about it at coreperformance.com and bought mine from there and its high quality and comes with a dvd that teaches you the best ways too use it

foam rolling/massage increases tissue quality; stretching increases flexibility. You need to do both. Remember muscles will recover in the state you leave them in. If you lift hard and don't stretch, your muscles will rebuild itself in a tight state. If you lift and stretch, your muscles will recover in a lengthened state.

The best tip for improving flexibility is STRECHING. You can speed your money on what ever they sell ad's for that's the wonder foam or what ever but ALL you need to do is STRECH. 30 mins each night is all you need. PM me and i'll send you more info if interested.
