Fluid in knee

I woke up this morning an my left knee felt swole up.I asked my dad an he said he thinks I have fuild in it.Does anybody know if it will just go away or will I need to go to the doctor?

Most of the people i know that have had fluid in the knee have had it drained out.

Or did you just wake up with a swollen knee?

Where is the fuid exactly on the knee?

I was drunk at the club the other night,came home an woke up the next morning an my knee was swollen.Fluid is right under my knee cap.Doesn't hurt just feels swollen up.

I cant remember.Im going to elevate it,put ice on it for awhile an hope it goes away

btw would putting a heat pad on it help?

Is it painful, you should get it checked out to find out what thecause is because if the cause is a infection it could cause severe or even permanent damage to the knee joint if it aint treated early.

na it doesnt hurt its just swollen up alil
