555 x 2 & 585 x 1 (PR) Reverse Band Bench Press (3 Board) on 12-28-08
This was a GREAT reverse band bench press workout using super maximum weights.
By using super maximum weights it allows me to strengthen the tendons and make the bones more dense to handle heavier full range of motion competition lifts.
Have a great day & TRAIN HARD!!

Lol'd at "train hard".
Strong lifts, although I don't see why you would be so happy from a reverse band 3 board lift?

especially with that amount of reverse band...i mean I do the same thing with reverse minis...
but the real question is, is this a post that needs to be moved into the PR thread or the video thread?
cause it sure doesn't need its own thread.

jw, when would you use reverse bands as opposed to doing it the regular way? Is there a difference because they both give progressive resistance?

i tend to use them at either the very very beginning of a training cycle to give myself a "goal" weight to lockout by week 6.
or at the very very end when I'm trying not to burn myself out before a meet.

so you pretty much use it to get accustomed to handling higher weight?

yup. and sparingly at that, I'd prefer to actually get stronger.
