Alright, here goes. I've never done a log before so hopefully I do this right. If you see any problems with my diet then let me know. I have always eaten rather healthy but I've never had to track it or try to make it a certain way so if i'm not doing this right please correct me. I will also be following the work-out plan in the manual.

Day 1:

8:30- 2 Mitotropin

9:00- half cup oatmeal & 1 egg

11:45- WW Smart Ones Salisbury steak and asparagus. 200 cal, 7g fat, 14g carbs, 19g protien

2:30- 4 oz Tilapia and 3/4 cup mixed vegetables

3:45- 2 Mitotropin

5:00- Tbsp of peanut butter on bread

9:00- 4 oz tilapia and 1 cup mixed vegetables

*I'll be editing this post as I go today.

Starting weight- 141.8

My body fat has been between 14-15% but the last week has been horrible diet wise for me, I haven't been drinking much water, and it's 5 days until that horrible time of the month so I am sure my reading will be higher right now. I will take body fat by caliper tonight and then post it. I did take before pics this morning but i'm having a hard time posting them right now because I look so fat and don't want anyone to see them LOL I will also take measurements tonight and post them.

*Question*
What is a good substitute for oatmeal? I choked it down this morning but I HATE it. Anything good that can replace it for breakfast? Also, is there a good snack substitute for almonds? I don't eat any kind of nuts but need help with the healthy fats. I've been using peanut butter. Is that okay?

Did you flavor your oats with anything? Simple things like cinnamon can help greatly.

Peanut butter is good, but depending on how your diet is structured, watch out for the calories - PB is very calorie dense.

It did have cinnamon in it. I really just think it's the texture. It makes me want to gag everytime I take a bite. YUK!

I'll start paying more attention to the calories with and without peanut butter. What's another source of healthy fats that will be easy to get in?

Don't over cook the oats.

I use old fashioned oats and just microwave them for about a minute (per 1/2 cup). I like them a little 'al dente'. some cinnamon, natty pb and a touch of brown sugar and it's go time. :)

A lot of your nuts are good fat sources. Almonds are one of the best, walnuts are good too and even peanuts in a pinch. Fatty fish like salmon is a great source of omega3's and egg yolks have excellent fat as well.

So here's my next question then...Is it okay to eat whole eggs instead of just egg whites? Everything always says egg whites.

Salmon is good. I love salmon. I'll be trying your oatmeal recipe too. Maybe i'll have a better experience with it.

If your diet macros permit it, whole eggs are great sources of protein and fats. Just don't go nuts. Most days I have between 2-4 whole eggs and between 4-8 egg whites. Actually only eating egg whites can cause a biotin deficiency, so it's good to incorporate some whole eggs in with your whites.

I usually always eat 2 whole eggs for breakfast with an english muffin. I didn't know if that okay so I went the oatmeal and one egg this morning.

Thanks for all your help. I'm so clueless when it comes to the dieting like this aspect. I always thought eating healthy was enough, but I can definitely see where some "healthy" things wouldn't be ideal for weight loss.

I have to say that I am really impressed with the energy level I have had today. I hate cycling off SP250 because I don't feel like I can go as long or as heavy. I cycled off SP250 and Plasmajet last week and was really dreading the gym today. I had so much energy at the gym tonight though and I really didn't feel much different than when I have taken Superpump.

Eating healthy will help you slim down to a point. A lot of people who have very poor diets can lose 20-30 lbs or more just by eliminating the junk.

But then if you really want to start dialing it in, then you have to start looking at macro balances, macro sources and overall caloric amounts.

I kinda view it as crawl, walk, run. One really can't start an advanced bodybuilding diet without first learning how to eat clean.

Ok, so I will admit that I have a bit of an addiction to the scale. I told myself that I wasn't going to weigh till the weekend but I got on the scale this morning anyways. I dropped 2.5 lbs from yesterday. I weighed 139.0 this morning. Now I know it's probably water weight, etc but that is the first time I have seen less than 140 since I started heavily weight training back in April. So I was really excited! I am really REALLY going to try not to weigh again though until the weekend.

My sleep was extremely bad last night. I have sleep issues anyways and I take 4.5mg of melatonin everynight. I usually get to sleep okay with that and sleep through the night. Last night I still couldn't get to sleep and I was up several times through the night. I'm hoping this problem gets a little better as my body adjusts to the mitotropin. If not, I think I can handle it for 30 days to get all the other benefits. Not only do I have increased energy but I can already see a difference in my mood. Patience has never been my strong suit and I really have to watch being impatient with my kids (3 and 1) but yesterday and today I have just been a all around pleasant mood and things they do that normally drive me nuts aren't really getting to me as much. I am very pleased with this aspect. Another thing I have noticed already is increased body temp. I am usually cold all the time but this morning I am burning up! I actually turned the AC on this morning. Granted it's still 70 degrees here but I normally would be comfy without the air on or even slightly cold. I also am one of those people that rarely sweats. I can do an hour on the elliptical and barely break a sweat. Lastnight during my workout I was sweating. I can definitely tell it's working. Very impressed so far because I never have noticeable results after one day on a product.

I find it helps to put the scale in a closet or somewhere else that is inconvenient to get out and out of sight.

Then that way I only pull it out once a week to do my progress tracking.

If it was in the bathroom daily, I think I'd find it hard to resist the urge to jump on it at least once a day.

That's the problem...it IS in the closet. It's the bathroom closet though. Maybe I should move it downstairs.

on another note...what was that website where I can break down my macro's? I saw you post it in another thread I was reading and now I can't remember which thread it was.

Calorieking.com has some good tools for finding out macros in your foods.

If you want to track what you eat, fitday.com is decent.

That really depends on your diet plan you are going to follow. It can vary widely depending on your metabolism, body type, personal preference, etc.

Many start or prefer the 40/40/20 approach where 40% of your calories come from carbs, 40 from protein and 20 from fat.

Generally speaking, it does look low, but individual metabolisms vary.

I would try to slowly add some more calories in there as the more you eat the higher your metabolic rate - just keep an eye on it and don't add so many that you start gaining.

Maybe add 150 calories to your total daily intake, preferably in the earlier part of the day and from protein sources. Adding 150 calories a day for the entire week is just a little over a thousand calories in the entire week, and shouldn't have a bad impact on your scale.

Hey lceman,

I need you to answer two questions for me. I have got a few friends and people from my gym trying Mitotropin and a couple have come to me with some questions that I haven't been able to answer. One told me if I was going to be the "Gaspari Pusher" I should be able to answer all his questions. Guess I better start researching LOL

The first question is why can't he have any dairy on Mitotropin? Is it because it's high in fat and sodium or does it actually adversely affect the mitotropin? This hadn't been an issue for me cause I didn't really have any diary in my diet anyways.

The other question is: Why can't he have any aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs?

Thanks in advance!

1 - It's not that you can't have dairy, just that dairy typically causes bloating issues and is not very productive in the final 30 days of a contest prep (as the program is designed). Even for those who are not lactose intolerant and can handle dairy well, it's really more a bulking food item, as the simple sugars in dairy and fats make it hard to diet successfully when you're drinking so many calories.

2 - I understand that's more of a general health warning. People who have heart conditions are sometimes put on an aspirin regime by their physician, and Mitotropin is designed for people who are healthy and don't have serious pre-existing conditions (heart, liver, kidney, etc). I believe the same goes for the NSAIDS (besides the fact they are somewhat counterproductive for muscle tissue growth due to inhibition of the natural inflammation response).

Here's one more progress pic. It's not of me. This is my husband on day 1 and day 14. I just had to post these pics. Can you even believe these kind of results in just 2 weeks?

Thanks! She is flexing in the same pose as him in every pic in the series. She is so cute! She even tries to flex her abs LOL

Your husband took exactly the same pose in both pictures. I mean his position against the door is exactly the same :)

LOL...I hadn't noticed that. The walkway to that door isn't very wide so he really couldn't go much farther in either direction.

klyn, how is your tolerance for the mitotropin as far as sensitivity goes? just a curious question

klyn, how is your tolerance for the mitotropin as far as sensitivity goes? just a curious question

I had to start on 2 tabs in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. For the first few days I couldn't sleep. I am sensitive to stimulants. After about a 8-9 days I went up to 3 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon and a few days later I went up to 3 and 3. Now that my body has adjusted to it a little it's great. I feel a big increase in energy but it's a very clean energy instead of that jittery feeling I had at first. Honestly, the energy aspect is one of my favorite things about the product. I can feel that it's working but it is not an uncomfortable jittery, anxious feeling like I get from other fat burners.

I'm sorry. I didn't think anybody was following so I hadn't updated. I didn't get a chance to weigh and measure on Sunday because it's been so crazy around here with the holidays, a friend's wedding and my daughters bday. I will get that done soon and post an update.

Good to know. I'm starting Monday and think I will start with 1 and 1. I just started superpump and I started with 1/2 scoop! I was afraid of the nickname "superdump" lol! But it's been fine. I can't wait to start the mito. I'll be doing a log and I'm also logging LG's 12 week transformation contest. I'm also having a one on one contest with my boyfriend, which is coinciding with one at the gym I work at, lol! I figured one contest wouldn't be enough to keep me motivated! Anyway, can't wait to see your results when you're all done!

My wife will be running this in February and I was following yours are Aries to see how it went. Keep it up, I'm sure there are plenty of others interested in your results.

I haven't been able to get online lately because I just have so much going on and my 18 month old has pneumonia but I wanted to post a quick update. My husband had his final weigh in today. He dropped 18lbs and almost 3% body fat. 18lbs in 30 days??? That's insane! My last day is Friday and I will have a final weigh in on saturday morning. I will update again then. I haven't weighed or measured since week 2 so i'm really eager to see the results. At week 2 I was down 6lbs.

Thank you!

I am editing some of my husbands before and after pics right now, putting them side by side. I am going to post them (hopefully he wont mind LOL). I, honestly, cannot believe that this kind of change is possible in 30 days. Give me a few minutes and you'll be shocked too :D

I would also like to add that this was with NO cardio. We are planning on starting another cycle of Mitotropin in late February and we will do cardio and weights then instead of just weights.
