Thank you to all who took the time out to participate in my last tester program. I am glad to see that most of the reviews are still running and I appreciate all of your persistence and most importantly your honest opinion on Vassive-N.O.
As posted in my last program I had asked for suggestions on how I should run my next program. Peter aka "bloodsimple1234" had suggested what I thought was the best idea. Since I am using Peter's idea he automatically is chosen as a tester but don't worry I still need 3 more testers.
Here we go........
THE BIGGER PICTURE is a Phrase "ON" likes to go by when talking about training, fitness, bodybuilding, supplementation, and everything in between. With the new year quickly approaching and as many of us set new goals for the new year "ON" wants you to look at THE BIGGER PICTURE and tell us what you see? What do you have planned for the new year and how do you plan on getting there. Best replies will be chosen for the round of testers! Substance is what counts on this one.
To Qualify As a Tester
1. Submit your answer either as a new post or PM me
2. One entry per person.
3. This program will be open for one week (7 days).
4. I will post all the winners the following Monday. You need to respond back to me within 48 hours with your name, and address. As I did in the last program the first posters will have precedence over what flavor they want. If I don't hear from you within 48 hours your spot goes to the next poster I choose.
5. Open to residents of the Continental US only (SORRY NO CANADA OR MEXICO) Sorry yet again to all our International supporters.
6. You agree to begin your review within 1 week of receiving your product.
7. You have to be 18 years and older to qualify as a tester.

Woot, I meet the qualifications. Also, woot, I blend this myself every morning...this ought to save a lot of time on my way to my lab. Early morning carbs n' protein. Ahh, the good life.
What I have planned for the new year, fitness-wise: to get bigger and stronger while staying under 13% bf. In order to 'see the bigger picture' I think, for myself, I need to see the littler picture, the week-by-week picture. For me, having a goal of (for example) "upping my squat 30 lbs." is less useful than telling myself, "next workout, I'm going to add 10 lbs. to it so that 4 workouts from now, I'm up 30 lbs. from where I am today".
I've started to eat a lot healthier as well as log all my workouts and diet. This really helps, as it allows me to tangibly see results on a week-by-week basis. I also ordered a digital camera the other day so I'm going to try and take photos of myself to accompany my log.
This looks sweet!

It seems like I tell this story over and over again, but I think I finally got to a point in my life where I could step back and see the "Bigger Picture"
I was 28, getting close to 29. I weighed in about 300 lbs. I was engaged, and had a 5 1/2 year old son.
I did not have good habits, when it came to eating. When it came to taking care of my body. I was lazy. I had low self esteem. I didnt like how my clothes fit.
I gave up fast food and soda kind of as a goof for lent. I lost 10 lbs in about a month. It was awesome.
My fiance, and myself joined a gym. Needless to say, 9 months later, I currently weight around 215 lbs. This is 5 lbs under my original goal of 220 lbs. My current goal is 205 lbs by Feb 6th.
Where do I go from here?
My body is a temple. It is time to start laying new foundation. No doubt carrying 300 lbs around for a while will build what I like to call (Just because muscle), but its not developed. Its there to support what your body has become.
I am started a new. From the ground up I will build this body into something to be awed. Something people strive to mimick. Build habits I can show my son, and hope he follows after.
Life is to short to sit on the couch for. We have to grab it by the reins and ride it for all its worth.
This is my life, and I control my own destiny. I am not held down by labels, or cliches. I am who I am, and I firmly beleive I will get out of this life, what I put into it.
Working out and eating right doesnt work for just some people. This wasnt an accident that I lost this weight. This is the product of hard work, and dedication to myself, and my family. They support me in this journey. They push me everyday to be the very best that I can be. They ask only this of me, and nothing more.
Know that you will never know everything. Know that there is no such thing as a stupid question. Know that you are but one person, and there are hundreds upon thousands out there, in the same boat you were, or are. Know that somewhere someone else is asking the same questions you are asking, or have asked. Spread your knowledge. Help someone else like you have helped yourself.
That is the "Bigger Picture" as far as what I see. I can honestly say that ON has been a part of this. From supplementation with Protien products, to Pre, Intra, and Post workout products, ON has definately helped me along, and pushed me further than I thought I could go.

I just started a DC training which will help me to build strength and mass. I am planning to gain more mass next year. I am hoping to reach 190lbs of lean mass next year. Right now I am 186lbs, but I am not ripped. So my other goal for next year is to get shredded like never before. Also strength wise I am planning to finally reach 315 on bench. I want to start doing 400lbs on squat for reps and I want to do 400lbs for reps on straight leg deadlift. I am also planning to increase my rack deadlift and lift the weight that equals to 3 times my body weight, so for 190lbs that would be 570lbs. I want to increase my weight on behind the neck standing military press to 135lbs for reps. I am also hoping to increase muscle mass all over, but also achieve a balance in my physique. I want to make my triceps bigger so that they would match my biceps. I want to put more mass on my upper back and put more beef on my hamstrings. I have a plan on how I am going to achieve all of that. DC training that I modified is focused of gaining mass and strengths fast. In DC training I have only two workouts A and B that I rotate. In addition to that both A and B workouts have three types of different workouts. It goes something like this:
Monday, A1
Wednesday, B1
Friday, A2
Monday, B2
Wednesday, A3
Friday, B3
Monday, A1
Workout A=Chest, shoulders, triceps, back
Workout B=Biceps, calves, forearms, hamstrings, quads.
I also figured out that it takes me about 3 months to get shredded, with out loosing much of muscle mass. During my weight loss stage I will do more cardio, cut down on calories and take a fat burner, but I will still continue to lift semi-heavy. For supplements I am planning to continue to use Vassive N.O. by Optimum Nutrition for my preworkout. I will use Animal Pack as my multivitamin. I will use Dymatize Whey and Optimum Nutrition Whey as my two types of whey protein for post workout. I will figure out other supplements as the time goes by.

The Bigger Picture.
Let's face it. We are all impatient. They say, "patience is a virtue"...Well sorry, I'm not a virtuous man. I want results fast. I wanna get where I need to be, when I need to be there!
When you hear a phrase such as "The Bigger Picture", you think of time somewhat slowly. In the world of bodybuilding, we are constantly told to be patient. We are told that results come with time. But does this mean that we can't speed up time just a little bit?
Nope. With the right tools, the right mentality and the proper knowledge of the game, you can get where you wanna be a little bit quicker as opposed to those who do not have the right tools, the right mentality, and the proper knowledge.
The right tools? The basics...the stuff you go to immediately when it comes to supplementation. Whey & oats? Together? These are just the tools I am looking for. The right mentality? I bring that to the gym with me every day, but before and after I'm gonna need somethin' else. The right knowledge? Well, I know how to lift. I know how to eat. I know the importance of things such as whey and oats to a bodybuilder. You know what else I know? I know that ON has never failed me, and is the one company that I can always look to, and always have since the beginning.
So what are my goals for the new year? What exactly do I see in the "Bigger Picture"? I see a bigger me. I see a better me. I see myself a step closer to my physical goals. I see myself having a bigger, leaner body, increased strength, and a few more ladies at my side. :D I've gained nearly 40 solid pounds in the past 5 or so months and I can only get better from here. And while I may only be seeing a mere pixel in the bigger picture, I will be seeing it much quicker with the help of Optimum Nutrition.

Was going to PM my entry but thought it'd help me out to post my new years goals here so people could hold me accountable.
I am graduating in a couple of weeks and then I will have 2 months or so to continuing my training/dieting/etc. and push myself enough that I can be in good enough shape to get through the police academy. I am already capable of passing the physical portion to get into the academy but then it's 4 months long and challenging all the way through. I don't feel that I'm ready for that. I need to be stronger, have more endurance, and lose more weight before I'll be comfortable with my chances.
My weight loss has been great and I am working on solidifying a workout program and diet plan to keep my gains (losses in this case) coming.
I am definitely seeing "The Bigger Picture" right now as I'm focusing on life after college in the real world, continuing to work and save money for my family life (which will be starting soon as my girlfriend and I are very serious and as soon as she gets out of school I'm sure we'll be getting married) so I am having all kinds of thoughts about real world work, coming home to support a family, etc.
Anyway, if you choose me I will put out an honest review that everyone can trust...Sixpack knows I didn't spare a lot of words with a few flavors of the ON sampler (most were "good" but not my type of flavor) so if you're looking for some honest feedback, I am intrigued by the product for sure.

where to start where to start....I'm getting ready for my first bodybuilding competition. currently am eight weeks out and need to drop twenty pounds of fat, currently started doing thyrotabs which ill do for a month and keep my good dieting habits up. protein is about 300, carbs 200 or less fats 75 grams. I'm two hundred and forty one lbs and want to come in around 225-230. My elbow is in rehab stage currently and has progressed as I haven't been able to train upper body for the past six months and a month ago today started training light weights"rehab stage" because of my elbow. I know I can at least lose ten pounds easily in eight weeks and hopefully get in the condition Ive visualized myself. I hope I can test this and Id be using this product early in the day because of the carbs maybe 2-4 scoops a day if On would allow me. thanks for your time!!
Outside of bodybuilding I have goals I'm working on of course and consider myself doing good for myself in general. Of course we all have areas we can use work on and need to do the hard work at times.
best of luck everyone.

The Bigger Picture
I've been thinking about how to start this post for the past few hours and I can't seem to find the right words. Then I realized that I haven't ever really looked at the "bigger picture", and also that I really need to do that if I plan on taking this endeavor seriously. I have decided that I will be competing in my first show in 2010. I plan on doing the Las Vegas Bodybuilding, Fitness, & Figure Classic. Now, I know that in-and-of-itself cannot be considered my plan for next year, but it clearly lays out what I must do. My plan is to continue bulking to about 215 (additional 20-30lbs, depending where i finish the year), and then come onto the competition in the 180's-190's. With a now more serious focus on bulking, I will begin by re-evaluating my diet and adding in daily meals. 6 meals isn't going to cut it anymore, so I'll have to push it up to 8 or more. And with forcing myself to choke down more meals, I'll have to better focus on getting in the BEST types of foods, and the best nutrient profiles possible, otherwise I'm pointlessly spinning my wheels. Pre-blended Oats & Whey would be extremely convenient and helpful, especially if it tastes well. It's time to step up my game, and I won't settle for anything less than first, so it's gonna be a long ride. All-in-all this is just one more step to turning pro, and creating an even BIGGER PICTURE.

On this New Years I plan on taking a step back from the flow of life and really think about what the BIG PICTURE really means to me. I am an athlete, I am a bodybuilder and I want more! Lifting heavier and eating cleaner isn?t going to cut it. Self control is my opportunity to achieving any and everything I want in life. The one muscle man chooses to neglect is the mind; which happens to be the most powerful tool we are blessed with. I don?t view discipline as a punishment, I see it as my own personal freedom to make the rules and control my own destiny. The BIG PICTURE to me is ?control?. We live in an unbalanced world full of confusion?I?m about to make more sense of things.

This is a perfect time for me to be able to relate to the "Bigger Picture" phrase. For a while I lifted weights and went through the motions just because I wanted to compete in school sports. I recently began the process to go into the NYPD. This has changed my whole mindset and for the past few months I have made lifting and eating higher priorities than they have been in the past. I plan on being successful in the academy by continuing with my improved eating habits and new routine. Currently I do cardio in the mornings, about 4 days a week. I have a 4 day split; Back, Legs, Chest/Shoulders, Biceps/Triceps/Forearms. Considering my busy schedule (work 30+ hours a week and full time student) I add in abs whenever there is free time as well as some extra cardio. Currently using a higher rep/set routine, about 12-15 reps per set. So far I have seen awesome results and plan on only improving. I have always used ON supplements (not only the whey and casein) and have never been disappointed. The company is excellent and it would be an honor to help them. Some recent logs I have are

I'd love to try the new product and produce a log. I keep my supplements basic as I believe food is superior. I include ON whey, ON casein, ON glutamine, creatine, and bcaa's.
2009 is my year to finally get onstage. I hired a popular bb prep nutritionist in October and will work with him as I prep for my shows next fall. My current diet allows for 350g of carbs and 300g of protein a day, so this product would fit in nicely. My bigger picture next year is to get over my fear and finally compete....to be the best I can be.
I'd love to try it and give my honest feedback on it.

Hope I'm not too late haha.
When I thought about my New Year's Resolutions, I looked at the BIGGER picture. I realized that bodybuilding is much more than going to the gym to move around heavy weights, it is about keeping your body in the best condition it can be. So, when I set my goal to become big and muscular, I did not just change my weight lifting routine. For the New Year, I plan on changing my lifestyle in a way to become bigger. For one, I am not to engage in any consumption of alcohol so that I can become bigger. Alcohol just leaves me feeling terrible in the gym and supplies me with empty calories. Also, I plan to fix my diet so that there will be adequate clean calories so that I can put on the muscle that I want. We all know that without good calories, muscle cannot be acquired. This is where I believe that ON can help me. I have been a "follower" of ON since I started weight lifting last year. I really enjoy 100% Whey after a hard workout, but it does not provide me with all the nutrients I need. I feel that if I have an opportunity to try Oats and Whey, I can get the clean calories I need to put on muscle especially at breakfast.
Edit: If I do get chosen, I promise to uphold my part of the agreement and review the product a week after receiving it.

I have been lifting weights for some time, but it was more casual than anything until about 6 months ago. I realized that I needed to start supplementing smarter and focusing on my nutrition. I had dieted and lost 65 pounds, so I went from being massive in the wrong way to healthy but small. I now want to dedicate myself to better nutrition (cleaner diet, better balance) and ON Oats & Whey would be the perfect first step for me. My goal is to lose about 10 pounds (down to 215). I want to get from 15% body fat down to below 10% this year (so some lean mass gain), and the most important part of the day is breakfast. Studies show a high protein/good carb breakfast speeds metabolism the rest of the day and actually promotes healthy weight loss while providing more energy. As a medical student, a faster better breakfast is something I am all over, and ON Oats & Whey seems like it would be perfect for someone like me. I will use O&W in tandem with my other ON products (100% Whey, Pro complex, Casein, After Max, Nitro Core) to further increase my protein totals while getting a good balance of the right kinds of carbs. My ultimate goals are to set new personal records in the weight room and O&W can help me there as well by providing good energy levels without a drastic insulin spike and post spike-fatigue. Please select me because I am more than willing to log faithfully and accurately every day. I am 24 years old and will adhere to any guidelines faithfully. Sorry for the late entry - just saw the contest today. Thanks!

I wasn't sure, but now I am hooked
I love using an oat based carb post workout as I can mix some waximaize and still have the lower GI oat starch without having to use my quick oats
keeps my blood sugar levels more stable through the morning
and it's just as tasty as the regular whey
good job, look for it in my January Superfeature article
