Not close grip bench btw. I'm talking regular bench to get maximum strength.

To where ever you feel the strongest. I feel pretty good with just over the rule of thumb 45degree mark.

For most benchers, your elbows should be at 4 o'clock and 8 o'clock (if someone was above you looking down from a ladder.)
