In a blog posting by Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 and Plus 44 fame, he reveals what he?s been up to in the past few months following the plane crash that left band-mate Travis Barker hospitalized and the death of Blink-182 producer Jerry Finn. But more notably in the post he reveals who he?s been reconnecting with as of late.
"In the midst of everything else that has happened lately, Tom [Delonge], Travis [Barker], and I have all spoken together," he writes. "First through a number of phone calls, and then a couple of weeks ago we all hung out for a few hours. They?ve all been great, very positive conversations. We?re just reconnecting as friends after four years of not talking. It?s a good thing."
This reportedly marks the first time in four years since Blink-182 went on an "indefinite hiatus" that all three members have been on speaking terms. Since the hiatus, bassist Mark Hoppus and drummer Travis Barked formed Plus 44 together while guitarist Tom Delonge created Angels & Airwaves.
Addressing possible reunion questions, Hoppus writes, "Obviously the first question for a lot of people will be ?Does this mean a blink-182 reunion?? The answer is none of us know. We haven?t talked about it at all. Right now it?s just good for the three of us to see one another, reconnect, and let the past be the past. The events of the past two months supersede everything that happened before. Life is too short."
In other news, Travis Barker gave his first televised interview since the plane crash on MTV?s TRL Finale last week. He reports that?s he getting better every day and that getting back behind his drum kit for the first time since the accident was "like riding a bike" and he?s "thankful to be able to play" again.
