i think it started yesterday.. i did a short run to the gym worked on my abs and the back right portion of my head/neck may have started to hurt slightly but then when i started to do a couple sets of pullups/dips i had to stop short cuz it felt like something in that part of my head/neck was going to pop if i was going to push out the last couple reps so i stopped and called it a day, i did a short slow cooldown jog and after a little while it felt better buy was still a little nagging so i took a tylenol and i was fine for the rest of the day and this morning.
I went to my local football field today and warmed up just fine. when i started to run (i do intervals) the same pain came on relatively quickly.. so i said "****"... i stopped running waited a few secs and the pain went down a little so i decided to do some bodyweight squats and it started again. maybe its a muscle in my neck? it radiates to my freakin brain though... someone please help me i dont have health insurance!

Sounds like a neck muscle. You say you don't have insurance but if you can make it to a chiropractor or someone who does shiatzu, that would prob fix it right away....try icing it?

I got my neck muscle pulled for doing pulldowns with a lot of weight and bringing bar to the back. I got myself injured pretty bad and a 1 month break was the only thing that fixed it. Now, I only do pulldowns to the front.

What you just described sounds EXACTLY like what I had, back of my head to the right, sharp pain that slowly comes on everytime I did exercise.

I carried on working out, and during a heavy squat session I got a sudden pop in my head, and was in agony, I racked the weight fell on the floor and passed out.

I went to the doctor and he said it was nothing to worry about that the pain was caused by a muscle in my neck, gave me some painkillers and said take two weeks off training. I did and it got better, but I still sometimes get a dull pain there.

Go to a doctor mate.

I dont thing muscle pulls can be fixed by a pill dont know though I am not a fan of medicin. I just quit gym for 1 month. I took a week break, then went for chest day and I felt pain in neck again, did abs and neck pain again. I got pissed so I quit for a month.

While drugs can help the pain, they are not fixing the problem.

Speaking of the problem, I would highly suspect it's a tight muscle that quickly goes into spasm when you use it (ie exercise). This could be compound by alignment issues in your neck.

This is a classic case that chiropractors have great results treating. But find one that also does some soft tissue work on your neck, or has a therapist that will do it.

could be a multiple number of reasons since im having a similar problem. Dehydration, not breathing properly during each rep, too much caffeine before working out?, not warming up. Im having a migrane type of headache whenever i work out this happend while during high rep squat last week. i felt so sick and nauseated after working out i barely managed to drive home and once i got home i vomited. I got adjusted by a chiropractor few days ago but the headache keeps coming back. My temporary solution that ive found was taking some ibuprofen an hour before working out. Im going to get adjusted again and see if it improves.

I have the same problem as we speak. It hurts so bad. What is weird is that it starts in the beginning of my workout then it will go away throughout my workout. Recently, I started to focus on my breathing while lifting and it seemed to help a little but the pain was slightly there. When the pain does come on it feels like my heart is in the back of my head and you can literally hear the thumping. Well, for those who got this good luck!

yes i know that thumping headache it beats at the same time as your heart and its pretty painful. I went and saw an acupuncturist today, she drew some bad blood out thats in the neck back and head area, hopefully few more treatments will make it better. God i hate missing workouts due to nagging injuries and to think that its stagnating my muscle growth is pissing me the **** off !!!!!!!!!!!
