thanks for that info Penny. I don't know if I could stand a CHA :D I am a carb LOVER
I carbed up today..but I have a bad sore throat/cold and couldn't even enjoy all the good foods. :(
I'm a carb lover, too :o It's hard turning carb foods down. I went to Starbucks to get an afternoon coffee today, and saw they had a new cinnamon kind of roll :eek: OMG, did it look good. I was drooling! But it was not worth the cheat, lol. Tomorrow is carb cheat day. Yay! :)
Awww, I hate to hear about your cold, Rich! :( Feel better! :)

[ During the last set I could not squeeze one more out ... I told my body, "come on, just one more and we're done." I then pushed out one more. Tried for 2 ... no go :o
I would expect nothing less :)
Tomorrow is an off day.
enjoy

But then you met me...and I'm more fun (and better for your physique) than carbs...
Heheheh, of course that depends on if I don't cheat, which I have not done lately except the other night
This makes me happy!
ROFL ... yes you did ... the jj's are in sets of 60 ... therefore 5 sets = 300 of them :D
Hehhehe, I am going to incorporate that into a cardio workout. So often I run out of time during my workouts to get enough cardio in afterward .. and this kicks ass more than the treadmill or elliptical.l
Oooh, very innovative...I love it!

It took me years to get to this point, Brian. I love carbs more than anything (well, almost anything) and I have to remind myself on a regular basis how important this is to my physique, and health.
I lose much faster on lowfat, but I don't think low fat diets are healthy ...
But then you met me...and I'm more fun (and better for your physique) than carbs...
You are indeed alot of fun, Jaime ... carbs are pretty much fun too, though :p
Although the side effects of them make me unhappy :o The side effects of Jaime make me very happy! :D
This makes me happy!
I am focused on my goal.
Oooh, very innovative...I love it!
Yeah, I think it'll be fun to incorporate for a while .. it makes very good HIIT ... especially since I have been unable to go to spin class.

Another dollup of good news -- I AM GOING TO THE ARNOLD!!!!!!!!!!!! Rick and I had a talk tonight and I told him that I need to freedom to do what I want without him freaking out over it. He told me he was worried because of the expense -- we both lost 1 week's pay this quarter, that is true -- but it's only about 2 hours from here. I am not going to any of the shows (because I can't afford to) -- I just want to meet everyone, in particular my awesome TRAINER!!!! Not to mention BLSmith, Hoos, and everyone else
From now on I am going to stand firm concerning things I want to do. I am 47 years old, after all.
Good for you Penny! I'm proud of you! Sometimes it's not easy to really insist on something we want when there are "reasons" for not getting it. But this is very important to you and you are working very hard so you darn sure deserve to go!!!!

Not stellar, but not horrible. That is how cheat days go, lol
#1: IHOP Big Steak omlette w/a few hash browns. I allow hash browns now because I get some carbs for bfast on regular days. HOWEVER, I did not like this omlette. The steak was very chewy. Fatty meat ruins the meal. The lean burgers I get at Kroger taste 100% better :rolleyes: So ... I ate less than half of it. I ate about half the plate of hash browns given to me. Coffee and water to drink.
#2: A few bites of the leftover omlette .. yuck. I threw the rest out :o
#3: 2 scoops whey in water, 12 almonds. I took this to the meditation class today, because we were there for 4 hours! :eek:
#4: Willy's Sports Cafe ... beer-battered grouper sandwich & a few fries (I am not a big fan of fries) Yuuummmm! The sandwich was delicious and I had 3 regular root beers with it. Gotta love cheat meals, lol.
#5: Sludge after we got home.
Today is back to business as usual! Gym a little later (Week 2, Day 1 of Program J-Me) ... there's a hack squat machine with my name on it! :D

Its a damn marathon babe, as much as you want your metabolism to kick up dont expect it to on the amount of calories your eating ya know? Also when you have a cheat meal, why do you split it between 2 meals? keep it to 1 meal and try to nail your diet for the rest of the day. I would suggeset leaving that cheat meal as the LAST MEAL of the day if you can, that way there is no temptation after wards to continue on that path. Just my 2 cents.
IN for hack squats, time to get them legs shreeeeeeeedddddddddddddeddddddd!!!!!

NOT a thing wrong with a cheat. It helps restart the metabolism. While I was on the CHA, and had my cheat meal, the next day I would be sweating my a$$ off during cardio.

Hi Bob! Are you saying maybe it's time to up the cals? I can ask Jaime. I will be better able to tell that I lost weight, when I do my weekly weigh-in. It'll be Tuesday because I use the scale at work, and I don't go back until Tuesday.
On the Saturday cheats ... I split it because having 2 smaller cheats makes it easier on Rick. This lifestyle is very hard on partners. You have to find that middle ground when you're partnered. However, if I do find cheating this way is hurting my results, then I'll change it to what you suggested ... which is the optimal way to cheat.

This is how I cheat also. I usually pick Saturday night for my cheat meal and all the meals earlier on Saturday follow my current diet plan. This makes me feel better abouting cheating when I know earlier in the day I stuck strickly to my diet. Plus I don't go overboard since I don't start cheating earlier in the day.

Hi Sue! That is a great way to do the Saturday cheat. Like I told Vanessa, IHOP has alot of CHA freindly items on the menu ... I have been very good at sticking to things like omlettes which are CHA friendly (I am on a modified 1400 program w/extra carbs in the morning -- hence the hash browns. I usually have 1/2 cup oatmeal w/protein on every other morning). The late cheat was great! :D I had some sludge later that evening because it was only about 7 pm or so that I had the bigger meal ... and I did not go to bed until after 11 pm :)

It's snowing ... ack! My gym closes at 4 today ... and I have to get ready for church and make sure my meals are in. But ... there will be cardio. I have a stepper downstairs I may use ... or do my kickboxing tape. Either way there will be cardio destruction today after church :) Hack squat destruction tomorrow! :D

Exactly why i mentioned that, if you can penney limit it to 1 cheat, You did not HAVE to order hashbrown did you? NO, so you could of had a complete CHA meal,
Chicken Fajita Omlette, or order some egg whites and regular eggs when you dine out, and save a cheat meal for later.
There is always a WAY to stick to a diet even if you go out, yes there are no excuses and you are living a daily lifestyle, but there is always a solution to your diet madness.... Remember that,.

I will not order hash browns next week. You know, I do need to limit the cheats to 1 per week ... it's tough with Rick, lol. But I did great today ... we went to LJS and I had the tiapala, with just the veggie medley -- no bread, no rice.

I love the chicken fajita omlette. I wanted something different so I ordered the big steak omlette -- which was horrible :eek: Hehheheeh, ordering just eggs & egg substitute would be the best option.

good work on your diet. As stated...it does get easier, and the people in you life start to figgure it out. However it never ends completely. My wife keeps talking about pizza for the super bowl. I am not CHA, but I do eat low carbs. I am debating just going 2 weeks no cheat and having pizza that night, or just doing what I have been and only having a slice and a salad with some tuna.

Hhehehhe, it does get easier after a while -- in my case especially it all boils down to the ability to say "no." :D
In the beginning I would lay the hash browns aside or give them to Rick. I started eating them because I have carbs in the morning anyway (oatmeal). However, oatmeal's alot healthier than hash browns (especially the yummy greasy ones!) So .. back to the original plan.

Pizza, yummy! :p
Rick was talking about steak hoagies yesterday afternoon. I said no, don't want 'em. We decided on Long John Silvers -- I got the tiapalia per Jaime's suggestion. It will always be a struggle with him, because he loves to eat.
IMO I would just make the Super Bowl your weekly cheat, Rich, and enjoy the game and pizza with your wife :)

One of the best things about my lifestyle now is that we are eating at home more. I could probably never get out of eating out at least 1x weekly, however, because that's a big way Rick shows his love -- taking me out to a nice place to eat. I will definitely cut the cheaty meals to 1x a week -- no more hash browns in the morning for me ;)

Like I just told Tiff, my energy was not good tonight. My mood was kinda low, too. Part of it pertains to my results so far ... the first week I did great, but I have stalled since. That's the way it is with low-carb diets for me. I do not know why my body adapts to them so quickly. I wonder if I should go lowfat instead ... I will ask Jaime. I lose great on the low fat plans... only thing is, I get really hungry on them.
Workout! Week 4, Day one of Program J-Me:
HACK SQUATS:3xsled+50x25
This week is the volume reps week -- 3 sets, but with 5 or 10 reps added. I struggled with all my exercises tonight. My energy was really low, even with my Xtend.
T-PUSHUPS:2 full/6 knee x 3
The full ROM pushups were nose to ground.
DB STEP UP:3x15sx25
The 20s were being used by someone else, so I picked the 15s up instead. I wanted to do the 25s, but with my energy level and the higher reps, the 15s were probably better anyway.
SEATED ROW TO NECK:30x21, 2x20x21
Yuck! :( Gawd, I am so weak on this exercise. Is it supposed to be alot harder than regular seated rows? I hate not being able to pull more weight.
STABILITY BALL LEG CURLS:3x25
STABILITY BALL CRUCHES:3x25
I did better on these tonight. The leg curls really burn after the 15th rep or so! :)
CARDIO:5 minutes pre, 20 minutes post, LISS
Treadmill fun
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
Eats:
#1: 2 whole eggs, 1 cup Kroger egg whites, 1/2 cup oatmeal
#2: 5 oz packaged salmon, 1/2 cup green beans, 12 almonds, 2 tbsp salsa
#3: Sludge w/strawberries
#4: 1/2 cup Kroger egg whites, lean burger
#5: TBE: Sludge w/strawberries, OR 2 scoops whey in water w/12 almonds
1 doubt if I can muster a 6th meal because it's 9 pm and I don't think I can eat again at midnight. My energy and mood are so low! They'll pick up, though :)
why do you have to wait till midnight to eat?
-You dont, ive told you this 100 times already. TOTAL CALORIES MATTER PENNEY, make your meals bigger and get to bed ealier, if thats always going to be the case or the case for some nights. Plan ahead and know whats going
- If you think the low carb diet is hurting you, you need to make a change, Only YOU Know your body, and if you know you work better with carbs, then you better be firing a PM to jaime, remember total calories is what will determine gaining/losing its just a matter of finding the right ratio for each individual and utilizing it with a proper routine to account for what kind of diet they have.
- Good to see the FULL RANGE OF MOTION on the push-ups. that is essential Penney, stimulating the muscle the full range is what you need to do placing as much tension on the muscle as possible
sorry for my ranting and raving all the time, but it may take some time for it to settle in. I want to see you succeed and I want to see your progress. Because I know deep inside the fuel is there, the motivation is there, its just a matter of flipping the switch and letting time take its part.
Lets go babe, Chin up, get that energy cranking.
It's difficult for me to eat huge meals, Bob. I have a gastic band (lapband) which limits the amount of food I can intake at one time ... The small meals every 2-2.5 hours are perfect. But ... I have to get up fairly early to make that work, and that was not the case this morning :o
But I totally agree with what you said! We need our caloric levels to be high enough for metabolic fueling :)
- If you think the low carb diet is hurting you, you need to make a change, Only YOU Know your body, and if you know you work better with carbs, then you better be firing a PM to jaime, remember total calories is what will determine gaining/losing its just a matter of finding the right ratio for each individual and utilizing it with a proper routine to account for what kind of diet they have.
The lowcarb diet isn't hurting me (usually I feel very good on it) but my body just gets used to the low carbs, therefore my weight loss will stall. I am endo-meso so you'd think lowcarb would be the way for me to lose fat, but I guess you can't have cookie-cutter programs for body type alone. We are all totally different.
- Good to see the FULL RANGE OF MOTION on the push-ups. that is essential Penney, stimulating the muscle the full range is what you need to do placing as much tension on the muscle as possible
I am pleased with my full-ROM pushups, Bob :) I have to watch that my butt does not go up too much because the back is supposed to be stiff as a board. There's a very good video on Crossfit about progressive pushups -- from wall pushups all the way to full ROM pushups -- and they said full-ROM knee pushups are better than half-ROM full pushups. Full ROM is always best :cool:
Awww, Bob, thank you for your support -- not just for me, but for everyone else here. I want to succeed, too -- but I knew this would be difficult. I have issues that most others here do not have. I had a total hysterectomy seven years ago. That by itself will trash your metabolism. In addition, I have high blood pressure so I have to be very careful in what supps I can take. I am going to ask my doc about Vasocharge. I know Xtend and whey are safe for me to take :) But fat burners -- no go :eek:
Send me an e-mail...
I see you're getting frustrated. You've gotten some good advice so far. Keep in mind that you don't have to eat Huge meals,. you just need to make up 1 meal over the course of your other 5. That's less than 100 cals per meal increase. I have every bit of confidence you are gonna figgure this out. It's slow at times for sure and we all stall. You just happened to do so early. We'll find a way to kick start ya again :)
Keep your head up, Penney. Your energy could have been low yesterday for numerous reasons, not just the diet. I know weather changes affect my energy level, which could be part of your issues.
Keep up the good fight. The Jaiminator will see you through, and we're here for support. You won't always feel 100% in the gym...no one ever does. When you don't, throttle back the weights and still put in as much intensity as you have.
The way the body works, you may be stalled right now, but next week you're just as likely to take a huge step forward...the body is funny that way.
And I second what Bob said on the diet it. If 6 meals just ain't working, divide your cals into 5 meals.
I lost 2 lbs, so I'll hang on to the CHA a little longer. As long as I lose, I'm happy ;)
Morning Rich! I was dumbfounded by that gain last week because I followed the diet perfectly. It was not perfect last week, so I was really pleased to see it go down. Hopefully it'll start with a "1" next week :o
Keep your head up, Penney. Your energy could have been low yesterday for numerous reasons, not just the diet. I know weather changes affect my energy level, which could be part of your issues.
Keep up the good fight. The Jaiminator will see you through, and we're here for support. You won't always feel 100% in the gym...no one ever does. When you don't, throttle back the weights and still put in as much intensity as you have.
The way the body works, you may be stalled right now, but next week you're just as likely to take a huge step forward...the body is funny that way.
And I second what Bob said on the diet it. If 6 meals just ain't working, divide your cals into 5 meals.
there ya go :) Yer not gonna lose big every week Penny :) Baby steps...overall progress. you are doing fine :)
Looking good Penney! You're going to waste down to nothing by the time the Arnold rolls around, how am I supposed to give a BIG hug to such a tiny little thing! :D
I have been trying not to weigh myself at all. Just measure and this past week I didnt cause I had my monthly visitor. LOL so I am not even going to try to measure. I will measure again Thursday and see how its going.
Keep up the good work.
Hi Sandra! We're expecting one of the worst ice storms on record in Cincinnati. We already got about 5" of snow last night -- the nice, fluffy kind that just wipes off your car. Most of the people in my dept called in -- there were 2 of us today, me included :o Tonight, we are getting at least 6" with the ice -- the power co. is expecting outages ...
Can I move in with you??? hahaha! ;):D
No gym tonight -- everyone got off early and I went straight home! It is storming outside now! Hopefully I'll make it tomorrow, unless we're totally snowed in!
A few years ago we got about 16" of snow and Rick & I were stuck here for 3 days :eek: Now, that was kinda embarrassing because we live, basically, up the street from our work places. HOWEVER -- the city plowed on our side of the street, our cars were parked there, the snow hardened overnight and we could not get our vehicles out :o It totally sucked! :rolleyes: I was able to get my car on the other side this time. I SHOULD be able to get to work (and the gym) tomorrow. I did not want to chance it tonight.
Happy Thursday everyone! :)
It has been just an icy mess here the past couple of days :eek: Fortunately, we did not lose power! For 2 days straight there were only 2 of us in my dept that could make it in. There were Level 3 snow alerts (which means NO DRIVING unless your life depends on in) and trees down, etc. Today it's better, thank God :)
I have not worked out since Monday. My eating has been spotty, too. I might as well admit it ... it's good to be accountable. I would eat my normal clean meals for the first three, then have something else for supper with Rick :eek: hehehe, Tuesday it was pizza, yesterday it was a chili 5-way :o I got in the snowed-in mode.
Today it's back to normal, and I will post a workout tonight, I promise! My gym is in a very hilly area which is treacherous when it's icy out. Last night I had the option of working out downstairs (I did not have that option on Tuesday; we all were kicked out of here by 4:30). However, I just wanted to get home because the roads were still pretty bad. So ...
When does spring begin? Or summer???? lol ;)
During bad weather you should pop in your favorite Richard Simmons vid and sweat to the oldies...LOL!!!
We lost power for about 4 hours but my work didn't have power for a day and a half. Some of my co-workers don't have power and might not get it back for a week.
OMG, that sucks! Back in September when we had the Hurricane Ike remnants blow through here, some people were out of power for a week. It's worse now because it's January! :eek:
I have no idea about snow storms. I thought maybe you were a medic so you had to go out in it.
Nope, just a friendly neighborhood production artist for a major Cincinnati newspaper ;)
OH man.. sorry to hear about the weather Horrible stuff
Hope you are keeping warm.
Keeping warm .. but my motivation got cold! :eek: It's coming back, though :)
I actually have that vid, Tony ... but I outgrew it a long time ago. I do have a Kathy Smith kickboxing vid that I still use when I am stuck at home but I did not use it this week :o
Yes, today the diet was perfect :) I just finished my 5th meal and will eat again in about an hour (so I can get my beauty sleep!).
There was something about that bad weather that made me think "We're snowed in! Time to eat!" Some paleo gene must have been tripped, lol :o
As for the cardio, I am going to have to get that in earlier in the day at work (take my lunch hour; since I usually eat at my desk anyway). I know I have been slacking (yes, slacking :eek: ) at my cardio. Tomorrow is going to be a cardio day (and yoga too) -- Saturday I will do my Day 3 circuit.
I will not fail you (or myself) again, my friend!
Have a great workout Penney:).
It was a wonderfully brutal hour of pain, Tiffany. 20-rep deads really test me! As well as the Bulgarian split squats ;)
I made it to the gym tonight, and I feel so much happier that I made it there. It was a great workout! My energy level was better than it was on Monday.
BB DEADS: 115x20, 16/4, 10/10:eek:
These were off the floor, total deload, full deads :eek: I feel it in my hammies already. Hehhee, the damn bar kept on kissing my shins :p
DB MILITARY PRESS: 20sx20, 20, 16/4
The 20s are still challenging me. I won't increase until I can easily do at least 3 sets of 20.
BW BULGARIAN SPLIT SQUAT: 10/10, 10/10, 10/10
I still can't do 20 reps at a time with these, but my form is much much better. I tell you -- I hate doing them, but love the PUMP in my quads after I'm done with 'em!
DB PULLOVERS: 20x25, 23, 20
I love this exercise. I had amazing DOMS in my triceps from them last week ... hopefully it'll happen again. I may increase to 30 next week.
BW LEG THIGH EXTENSION: 20, 20, 20
These were tough tonight .. it could be because my legs were already fried by the deads & Bulgarians.
JACKKNIFE: 20, 20, 20
These made my quads burn, too.
I ran out of time to do cardio. I realize cardio is very very important, so I am going to have to do it at work around noon-1 pm.
I use frozen fruit :D Put in the fridge or freezer for a few minutes, then pull it back out and enjoy! I am totally hearting this website: http://www.figureathlete.com/index.jsp . I've been reading articles all morning and they are most helpful :D I think it's an offshoot of Testosterone Nation that is geared towards women.
What I find hilarious, though, are the differing theories on which kind of cardio is most effective for weight loss. I say any cardio that you'll do ... something is better than nothing. I do prefer interval training over (yawn!) LISS ... I am not a fan of running (which is not recommended for most people anyway because it's such an advanced athletic activity) but I do enjoy cardio like spinning and step intervals. I agree w/Tony that those classes (or any HIIT) eat muscle. I find myself softer after doing those classes for a while.
It's definitely more challenging doing cardio when you're living the lowcarb lifestyle. But it is still important!
Those are my thoughts for the day, lol. :p
And ... there will be cardio afterwards! Of course, it'll be lighter cardio today because those jumping jacks add alot of cardiovascular activity to this particular circuit day.
It's still hard to do this with him, folks. So many others here have the same problem. It's tough being partnered when you are a bodybuilder! :rolleyes:
No, don't eat anymore.
And re: The cheating "schedule"...you're scheduled for one per week. So if you use it on Tuesday, then it doesn't get to happen again until the following week (beginning Monday)...sawwy!!! :o Tough love babe!
No, don't eat anymore.
That sounds good to me. There were alot of calories in the RL meal.
LOL! I need the tough love babe ... I am a real brat sometimes! :o
But I really want to be successful in this, so NO MORE CHEATS until next Saturday. I was breezing through the Figure Athlete website earlier today and got very motivated by the articles & forum there. I know I can do this!
You control what you order, and what you put in your mouth.
You dont have to cheat when you eat out because there is ALWAYS something on the menu to fit your diet,
Order the food you did without the glaze plain,
Order a chicken salad
Order Salmon + PLAIN VEGGIES
Order any lean protein source + Veggies, or any salad with a lean protein source and have it PLAIN with no dressing
The goals are high above, you mam just took a step back, But remember you can always overcome the obstacles because there is always a solution.
I eat plain food all week (lol except last week) :o
I told the Rickster that I'm eating out just once and that is it per week. You are correct, mister, that last week was not good.
It sure is easier eating clean when I am not out. heh :o
Happy Thursday everyone! :)
I have not worked out since Monday. My eating has been spotty, too. I might as well admit it ... it's good to be accountable. I would eat my normal clean meals for the first three, then have something else for supper with Rick :eek: hehehe, Tuesday it was pizza, yesterday it was a chili 5-way :o I got in the snowed-in mode.
#1: 1/2 cup Kroger egg whites, 1 lean burger, 1/2 cup oatmeal
#2: Sludge shake w/strawberries (my mixer is fixed ... yay!)
#3: CHEAT MEAL:Red Lobster -- glazed salmon w/coconut shrimp, 1 salad w/ranch dressing, 1 of those rolls, water w/lemon to drink
#4: TBE: Sludge with blueberries
#5: TBE: 2 whole eggs, 1 cup Kroger egg whites.
~~~~~~~~~~~
I was thinking about skipping my normal cheat meal today because of last week's monkey business, but decided that I am going TO KEEP ON SCHEDULE, including the cheats.
Okay Penney, you went off plan Thursday with pizza and 5-way chili. One of those meals should have been your cheat for the week. CHA=one controlled cheat or carb meal.
I told Rick I did not want us to eat out any more this weekend, and he said, "Why?" lol :rolleyes: I told him because it's healthier that we don't eat out as much. It's still hard to do this with him, folks. So many others here have the same problem. It's tough being partnered when you are a bodybuilder!
You don't have to stop going out to dinner. YOU have to make better choices. Take a look at the restaurant's menu before you leave and decide what you will order. Protein+good fats+veggies for the win.
Rick does not order the food and make you eat it. Come on, get with it.
Dig deep Penney and decide what you want to accomplish. You've got to be consistent with the diet, training and cardio.
You have so much support, but you've got to want it for yourself:).

Tonight was day 3, week 4 of Program J-Me. My tank was low again despite the fact I had my Xtend with me. I attribute it to cheating too much last week. I have much more energy in the gym when I eat clean.
BW Y SQUATS: 15, 15, 15
My knees were hurty tonight :( I still squeezed out a few extra reps, since this week I am supposed to add reps.
BW HORIZONTAL LUNGES: 12, 12, 10
Meh. :o lol
OFFSET KNEE PUSHUPS: 10, 10, 10
I tired quickly on these tonight. Hopfully my energy will improve soon.
SPIDERMAN CRAWLS: 10, 10, 10 each side
JUMPING JACKS: 60, 60, 60
Woot, I did all 3 sets w/o stopping. I have improved on this one.
CARDIO: LISS
Treadmill, 10 mins pre, 20 mins post
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When I got to the gym today (the little one at work) I was suprised by seeing several other people there. Usually it's a ghost town on Saturdays and Sundays.
I'll second this for sure. Heck...you were at red lobster. They have a whole list of fish they will broil for you with no sauce, no butter, however you want it. Add steamed veggies and or a salad you are good to go. :)
but stay away from the cheddar bay biscuits...they are the devil :D
I am not the only one preaching it girl.
Listen, when you tell us that you have goals, and you want to achieve them, are you really helping yourself by giving in, by just going off course more then deisgned?
Are you helping yourself by not fighting off the inner demons?
You have a mind, you have a soul, and you have a strong intuition. YOu make your own deceisions, what are you thinking when you know your going against your plan, your diet?
You know its only setting you back, and its further delaying progress so why do you do it?
You had your cheat Thursday and today is a couple days later but yet you strayed again.
Keep eating out, the only way you will overcome this is by continuing to out but making the right choice. You can only overcome your fears by taking them head on and getting it done. Order a chicken salad plain, so what if its plain, get used to it, do you think cutting is easy? NO, especially someone who is not use to doing this all the time or living the healthier lifestyle ya know, it takes time to settle in.
But really if you want to achieve them goals, you have to make sacrafices, eating out is one thing you will have to do because rick enjoys it, and you should support doing it because he is your husband and you love him.
Just think that you are eating at your house but the food is being prepared for you, how would you have it served? How would you cook your veggies, how would you have your protein source.
All you have to do is ask, open your mouth, and put the right food down the tube. If you feel like crap after you cheat, why do it? If you feel better when you eat clean, have it that way and KEEP it that way. Remember how you felt after this cheat, do you want to go into another session feeling like this.. i highly doubt it.
Penny...the only day you have to worry about right now is today. Get through it and then worry about tomorow. There's a lot to be said about the "one day at a time" theory.
We all do the best we can. We learn new things every day. I think you have gotten your point across, Bob.
I think I need a little break from this journal. Things have gotten a tad too intense. Tough love has its place but a critical mass of it becomes condensating :( I try my darndest to be positive and respectful of everyone's intelligence here, whether they slip or not. I am an accountable person. I'd appreciate it if it were breached more respectfully.
I will continue to send my stats to Jaime.
Hi there! I am not taking the cheat out, Jaime won't let me ... and OMG I do want and need my cheat :o I splurged way too much last week and it showed this morning when I weighed in.
New week...fresh you! Time to get this plan rollin again! You've got all of us behind you, backing you up and supporting you.
Thanks Jaime! :) I agree, it's behind me :)
Today is the last workout for the plan you sent to me. Are you sendin' a new one? :D
Because of what happened last week, I will send stats on Thursday (since you mentioned you wanted me sub-200 by Thursday. Thursday/Friday is a better weigh-in & pic day anyway, because it's the farthest away from the cheat meal, which always bloats me.
