I loved Red Dead Redemption but can't get into multiplayer, too many goons out there that spoil the experience :( I gave up on it and have not bought the DLCs that have come out. Will revisit it when the single player DLC comes out.

m3baby - Mass Effect 2 is awesome, it's a perfect mix for a sci-fi buff like me. Bioware is always awesome for RPGs. I'm still playing through a few different playthroughs of Dragon Age which was a present for my birthday in late July.

Mafia II finally came in late Saturday and finished it yesterday after work. Right now am on a second playthrough - to get all the playboys at the moment, 4 more left! The story is great but it is way too linear. Vito the main character is nice eye candy too :D

I'd love a GTA (San Andreas sized)/DOTD/28DL splash. Yep, and a sniper rifle vantage point where I could pop the Leno, Burt and Rosie lookalikes, lol. I like the cardio building possibility as well, reminds me of CJ.

I (and hordes of others), have been squawking about this on message boards for a few years now. You'd think someone would make the damned sandbox zombie game by now. Rockstar can do this! :P

You should. It is one of the best games I have ever played and is in the top ten games of all time. The story is solid - you will tear up a couple of times in the game because it makes you so emotionally invested in the characters of the game. The music is top notch and really takes you back. The gameplay is like nothing before - sure GTA-esque but this took it to the next level.

Goons are just well .. people online :D People that come into the co-op or posse, then proceed to blast your horses or you their team-mate for whatever reason. People that don't want to actually be in a posse and want to do their own thing in a mission, where the advanced co-op stuff you really do need to work together. People that drop out mid-way through the mission - not the server just leave, leaving you hanging with a bunch of bad guys converging. I just hated it because I got to play maybe 25% of the time, the rest was loading screens or unfinished stuff.

I did get randomly killed in free roam but that is perfectly fine, it is the wild west and all :D

Rockstar certainly knows how to deliver. Except for Manhunt 2, which was a massive 'fail' IMO.

Is anyone into Borderlands? They recently raised the level cap to .... ahem ... 69 - yes they did that on purpose! A new DLC - Claptrap's New Robot Revolution is coming out soon. I cracked out on that game, single player and co-op (split screen) but never really went online either besides a few times. It's hard to co-ordinate as a team when people don't use their headsets.

LOL, I like the way you think :D You can actually do something similar in Dead Rising. It's almost a complete copy of Dawn of the Dead for Xbox 360. You're in a huge mall that plays like a sandbox style game and almost anything can be used as a weapon. The best has to be the mini-chainsaws. Dismemberment? Shotgun blasts to the face? KATANAS?? Zombie-killing-good hahaha

I loved Borderlands. <3 Me and the hubs played splitscreen for entire weekends in a row. :D May have to dig out my siren and check out the new DLC.

Currently playing through career mode on Forza 3 while awaiting the release of Fallout: New Vegas.

I think I got about halfway through RDR before the appeal wore off. I have a short attention span when it comes to most games.

I need to sit down and get through all the DLC and Awakenings in one completionist playthrough before Dragon Age 2 comes out. (I did one mostly complete playthrough (with Awakenings and all the DLC pre-Darkspawn) and a bunch of little ones with new characters that I started but never completed the game with.)

I have DA2 on pre order. With Origin's there is new download content, you can play as Leliana while she is still in Orlais or play as a darkspawn. Going to get both this weekend!!!

Still waiting on a sandbox styled zombie game though. One where I can roam, and roam, build my stash, hide out in a Costco, meet up with other survivors, steal or lose everything, find cars and drive to new locales, have friends become infected, etc.

Currently playing through career mode on Forza 3.


Come on, career mode? Its all about the multiplayer aspect of the game - makes it 100% more enjoyable. Theres nothing quite like (on a computer game) out manouvering, breaking, and cornering some angry 18 year old and hearing the frustration through you ear.

Well, two reasons:
One, I'm learning the tracks, how different cars handle, etc.

Two, I'm a mean driver. :) I punt the AI on a regular basis. Doing that when an actual person is driving the other vehicles would likely get me booted.

You can be a mean driver in the multiplayer section as well, wont necessarily get you booted, you just need to know how to pull it off.

A carefull touch will pit someone, and a break check can work wonders.

But that still brings me back to my first point. I'd rather have the 'holy crap I don't know this car or this track' moments in the privacy of my own home, rather than being "that girl" in a public race.

I play Halo 3 but my husband plays modded warfare uhmmm I mean Modern Warfare 2. He doesn't mod but its lot of modders on there. I get on Halo 3 about 2-3 times a week, I'm very busy since my husband is gone training. Usually when I finally find time to play its already 10pm so I just go to bed instead of playing the game.

i know modern warfare is crazy.I play with eaphones and i heard some hissing noise last night on a game.I thought the earphones were broken but some guy hacked a jetpack into his stinger missile on his back.So damn funny
