Hey,

I want to order the following products:

Universal Real Gains (6.85lbs)
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/univ/real.html

High Power Micronized Creatine (1000 grams)
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/hp/creatine.html

Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey (10 lbs)
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/opt/whey.html

However, I read from this site that amino acids of any kind are illegal in Canada.
http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/help/illegal.htm

Which is very strange, because I'm almost certain that in Canada we have supplements with amino acids. I'm 100% sure we have NO XPLODE, and that has AA, right?

Secondly, do you know how much tax/duty I'd have to pay for a shipment from this site to my residence in Canada? Would I save any money by shipping to a relative's house in the States, and driving down there and picking it up? Or would it be the same (don't worry about gas, etc)?

Thanks.

Customs will not let certain amino acids/vitamins/minerals/etc over the border, usually bb.com won't even let you add a product with these substance to your order, so if the site allows you to add it you're usually ok. As for shipping when you get to the checkout page you can compare your options for shipping, the heavier/larger the order the more it is going to cost. It is cheaper to ship within the USA, but at current gas prices it's tough to say that shipping it to a relative and then driving down to pick it up is worth it. Just go through the checkout until you can compare shipping prices and then make your decision. I've never paid duty on anything shipped from bb.com, the only time I've seen that is when something was shipped via UPS/FedEX.

That was very helpful, thanks!
FedEx Ground 2-5 days says $7
And Canada Post 4-9 days says $39
While doing the checkout (and going as far as until a credit card is needed), there were no problems. Does that mean that it's safe to say the products are legal in Canada?
My parents are going down to the states soon anyways, so it wouldn't be out of the way to pick up the supplements. But when they bring it back to Canada, would there be a problem there? And would they have to pay duty?

I'm still open to any more insight.

Thanks for the responses.

Due to the $30 difference in shipping to Canada and the United States, I will most likely ship it to the States, and have my parents pick it up and bring it back while they are there for a concert.
