So I met with the trainer and he asked what I wanted to do. Well, I was at 118
and I really want to be at 115 and he said ok, lets do this.
Breakfast is 3 eggs
Snack if wanted is 2 pieces of string cheese
Lunch is 6 or 7oz of either hamburger, steak or salmon
snack is the same or 2 hard boiled eggs
Dinner is same as lunch
snack is same, 2pices of string cheese or cottage cheese
That's for 3days. On day 4 I have a salad and I can have peanut butter

Will this really help me loose 3lbs., it's alot of protein and he said it's no carb but next week we'll get carbs. Does this diet sound familiar to any of you guys?

I can't really comment. I'm not a fan of extreme anything - whether its no carbs or high % of fat, etc. I just don't see the value in doing something that isn't healthy.

However, my 2 cents is to not have more than 2 egg yolks a day since that's bad for your cholesterol.

I agree. I do 1 egg yolk a day as part of my healty fats...I'm not so much worried about cholesteol, but I use PB and almonds for more of my healty fats...they just taste better :)

I did offer my opinion in one of your other threads. I think the biggest problem is he constantly changes your program...it's always something different and more drastic then before.

The idea is to get a solid program with right balance and stick with it. If you do it the right way, there is no reason to have to change it...

I don't agree with the diet... but not because of the eggs (dietary cholesterol alone, unless you have a genetic predisposition, doesn't contribute markedly to blood cholesterol levels).

But the reason why I disagree with the diet because 3 days of dieting is hardly going to do anything. And all it is going to do is carb deplete you of carbs... So you'll lose weight - but then, due to the calorie dense nature of what you are eating, you'll bounce back.

Not only that - you'll deprive your body of the vitamins and minerals it gets from things like vegetables, fruits, legumes, nuts/seeds etc...

You are better off not looking for a 'magic' fix. You simply need to follow the basics of a good, well balanced diet, and a consistant and intense training program. Then you need to continue to consistantly follow the basics, for a GOOD few number of weeks.

It works - it just takes time. ;)

I'd guess that you'll loose some lbs as you deplete the glycogen in your muscles, but put them back on next week when you reintroduce carbs, what's the diet like long term? Is he doing a carb load, cycling your carbs or bringing them back for the reminder of the diet?
I eat usually 4 large whole eggs a day and haven't had a problem with high cholesterol. The diet he has you on is similar to what I eat ATM only I have some veg in there & nuts, no string cheese, example of one of my days;

2 large whole eggs/1oz feta/1 oz ham/spinach/slice red onion
Whey/10 almonds
4-6 oz chicken breast/oz mixed nuts (or green salad with flax oil)
4-6 oz red meat/green beans/broc
whey
2 large boiled eggs/tbsp mayo

Thursdays & Sundays I replace the fat with carbs, mainly from more veg/root veg, a bit of fruit and a tiny bit of grain (they upset my tum). I'm cutting sucessfully with this.

It's a keto type diet. The fats are high to provide an energy source since you are eating very few carbs. I'm glad dude upped your fat consumption, at least. If I remember correctly your last diet was both low carb AND low fat! You will probably start feeling better energy-wise soon, at least.

Weren't y'all supposed to start working on gaining lean mass? Not sure what good he thinks losing 3 more pounds after having you on that 3 month low cal/low fat/low carb diet for 3 months is going to do at this point.
