what in the kg measuring system is going on? Why is everything in odd weights like 93 and 98?

Im a form nazi myself especially when it comes to compound lifts. (maybe why i always plateaued on bench etc? LOL)
Personally I should've went a tad deeper but I felt'em working.

I've been busy with exams at the moment, been trying to revise for em but so far it the revision hasn't helped much lol. Only got a couple more to go and I'll be back posting more in a couple of weeks

Im actually gonna do some hiit after my workout which'll be in 30 minutes. They're normally flat 'till I workout and then get some carbs in. Thats when the veinage comes in lol. Im wondering how heavy I can get with this type of vascularity it's REALLY phucking cool. I thought itd disappear in the 150s but i guess not..

If you keep up with this intense training and a solid diet, I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't see it disappear until the 180s.

I'll speak for myself...AMAZING strength, and decent size on legs, back, chest...BUT needs to add another accessory lift for bis and tris..and Deff need to work calves on it.

alternate calves, arms, calves arms, on each M,W,F day IMO so you can hit them each 2x a week.
calves:2 exercises 3 sets each
Biceps:2 exercises 2-3 sets each
Triceps:same as biceps
but this is speaking from my experience and knowing how I recover..try out thi normal template and add them in if you are recovering well.(which I don't think you'll have a problem doing)

i get slight sore knees(when i wrap them squatting i get no pain) but the next 1 or so days they get bit sore, because ive got pattaler femoral syndrome, my teardrop is dominated my by outer quad, will ATG squats with good form help this do you reckon? by evening out my quad imbalance
I'm mirin' your gym bro. Wish mine had all that stuff.

Wrap them more often then and learn to sit back on squats. Sounds like you lean forward too much which stresses the knees greatly. Also if your teardrop's over developed in which case then yeah, it does sound like you lean forward too much on squats/leg exercises. Learn to sit back and use your heels to drive with the glutes/hamstrings.
I'm mirin' your gym bro. Wish mine had all that stuff.
Lol the place is over priced as phuck though.. My gym membership's up and Im deciding if I wanna return or not..

I wouldnt call it a shoulder injury more so than a little minor F up. Last year when I had a training partner for a month (who i was teaching to box and yadi yada) I was able to go heavier on DB shoulder presses. I was using the 80's or 85's for 4-5 DEEP reps past parallel, and my left shoulder made a huge clicking noise. Immediately dropped the DB and the pain ensued for awhile.
Other than that Im pretty injury-free. Last scare was August-September ish when I started this log. I injured my lower back when i was n00bishly doing a mini cut on 0g carbs. I decided to train 6 days bawllz to the wall on zero carbs and on the 7th day maxed out on deadlifts. Pop. Ouch.

i personally hate the smith for presses...i feel 2 locked in and it bothers my shoulders more....but none the less strong weight!

I do too man trust me. I finally found my 'sweet spot' on the damn thing though. I cant Military press because unracking for us manlets tears the RC apart. You need a lift off with anything over 135 or say bye bye to your shoulders.

working with my mom's BF again roofing. if anyone followed my last log I did alot of it last summer and brought in some good money. very strenuous work and has a nice carry over regarding lifting. Only worked 2 hours today but 2 hours worth of carrying 35 bundles of shingles up a ladder onto the roof. Helluva workout I must say LOL.

Nah its only for 1 job and its pretty much done. Last year i did 1-2 roofs though. Year prior to that i did 2-3. Only summer type job where i work 2-3 days and make $9-10 an hour.

i wear sweatpants/adidas pants the majority of the time its just that i keep the bar REALLY close to me. reason being ...well you know why, lol.

Shiz is not something to mess around with.... Had a friend die of heat stroke and a few fellow Marines hospitalized for same in my life experience.

Lolllll yeah i think i added a fair amount of LBM to fat. Since im 150.5-151 (as of this morning..) I think Ive added about 5lbs fat and maybe MAYBE 5lbs of LBM since the show.. thats pushing it though

My man if your lifes getting hard and busy then just relax a bit. Unfortunately natural body building wil very rarely be someones career so if its not currently making you happy and enhancing your life by doing it ease up a bit. Drop it to working out 3/4 days a week for the next few weeks until you get a little more time on your hands and things start to settle down. Nothing to worry about you just went through the stress of a contest prep and continued to kill it directly after, your body might just be a little worn down and benefit from the rest.

exactly how i feel also, take a week off then ease back into it. Ive been lifting for almost 6 years and the way Ive avoided burning out or anything like that is keep changing what your doing. Throw in some new lifts, change your split, take a light week here or there and idk about all you guys but when im out of the gym for 4-5 days straight it does nothing but make me want to get back in. But id have to believe if you stop completely with the progress youve already made it your going to regret it once you get back into it.

Stephs Upper power week 1
going to use an upper/lower/off/upper/lower split for my GF to get her used to handling weights. i taught her how to squat, deadlift, stiff legged DL, power clean, overhead squat, front squat, military press, bb row, and a few others the other day. girl squats better than half the people on here LOL. i think im gonna get her involved in Oly lifting because she has potential. first person in a long ass time ive seen squat properly without a damn towel.
Bench taught her how to arch . needs to tuck elbows more next time.

shoulders have a nice cap in your MM offseason pic posted a couple pages back, plus they have good size on the back dub bi. maybe not "great" but they are good. arms/chest are not lagging "badly", just a bit behind. plus chest is making progress already.

I used to lower it uncontrollably but now (ask zak he mentioned it if i recall the night i benched) I do hella slow negatives to the chest.
Im open for all suggestions pertaining to rep ranges/lifting tempos/etc seeing as I havent tried too many. Im just now getting involved with slower negatives.. and weeding out some exercises that I see fit and vice versa.
So far for biceps ive used mainly hammer curls, bb curls, seated one arm curls, and once in a blue moon cable curls.
Triceps have mainly been hit with close grip, weighted dips, and push downs.

well thats what worked for me to make my arms grow. also throw in some supersets with faster reps (piston-like) sometimes

Steph had Lower hyper today. Hit some impressive front skwats but couldnt get in the groove on back squats. Bar at her place just isnt fit. I swear she can stiff legged DL 135 if I had her. She was repping I think 75lbs for 10 easily with perfect form. Finished her off with leg extensions and hamstring curls.
Accidentally had an accident too LOL. When she got stuck in the hole on fronts I normally help her lift the bar off but this time it accidentally nailed her in the chin >_> Needless to say she got pissed and hit like 3-4 reps with that weight when prior she could only muster 1 haha.
PS we're seeing Ice age wednesday. Ya'll are jealous >D

actually had an order like that 'cept the empanada's were out. so we made a dozen or so and none sold by the time we closed so everyone got some besides me. **** looked nasty LOL.
only thing i ate were 2 chicken soft tacos and a fresco chicken burrito with no beanz. what's funnier is by 3am my Macros were like 45g fat/190g carbs/80g protein. ive been skimping on protein as of late due to the lack of meats/whey protein(ran out.) Trace sources havent been adding up nicely as I wish they would. On dat dere cereal/milk diet with the occasional steak at my GF's place.
So yah, past 2-3 days ive been hitting numbers like 75g fat/425-450g cho/150-160g pro. womp womp

Sorry bout the lack of updates lol. Still saving up for gym membership moola. Got my paycheck today but it was for last weeks so gaygaygay!
Just got done working a 10 hour shift (5-3 LOL) Lacking cals.. Have no food in the house so Im gonna end up hitting nothing protein wise X_X
decided to train legs in 20 minutes before work. Did some like..circuit ish.. 4 sets of Clean to front squats, and 3-4 sets of stiff legged DL's with a weaksauce 250lbs.
Treating this week+some of the last as a "deload" for the lower body, cuz I plan on pulling a plot twist outta my ass training wise when I get my gym membership. Hinthint.
PS Steph and I are gonna see Bruno instead most likely. Then Ice age the week after mebe :D

Four of Julyyyyyyy was FUNNNNNNNNN! Took Stephhhhh and her lil' sister Kristen to a Baseball game (Double A Binghamton Mets.) Joked alot and munched on muskateers/snickers LOLOLLL. Got some pretzels but them phuckers were wack as all hell. Afterwards there were Fireworks and holy sh!!!!t they were amazing haha. Double grand finale. They built up the anticipation lollll. Once the first finished the announcer came on and toyed with us, then a **** load more were lit off. Really fun night!
Walk home was funnnna cuz I decided to strip down the street with my pants fallin off aha. Revealed my shexy boxers and gl00tz.

Brett I loved the video of you guys squatting tandum haha. I remember years ago in a bodybuilding mag I saw 2 guys barbell curl 400 pounds. I think Kevin Lavrone might have been one of them. Anyway I thought of them when I saw that.

That was actually the case the past week or so if I hadnt mentioned it. I wasnt able to hit 190-200g protein for a few days and had to settle for 125-135g due to insufficient money + food.

Seated gives you a solid base to push from... from the seat and having your legs, along with the seat, planted firmly on the ground. Standing is utilizing your lower back and legs as support instead.
