Hi Everyone,
I've been ranting on the other thread about Sharia law being recognised in the UK, but this warrants it's own thread.
I got into work today. Outside was a road sweeper's rubbish bag awaiting collection and 2 Jerry cans and a toy. Someone had dumped the cans and the toy there for the refuse guys to collect. It's called 'fly tipping' here and is illegal.
After about 2 hours, the bag had been removed, but the cans and toy were moved onto my property at the front of my shop.
I called the council and asked for these to be removed.
The very nice lady at the end of the phone asked me if I could prove if the council appointed street cleaners had moved them. I didn't see them do it, so I replyed 'no'.
The lady then told me that it was my problem as 'someone else' may have moved them.....
Hmm.... Why anyone would have moved them is a complete mystery to me, and I offered this to the nice lady. She wasn't interested. 'Your problem, I'm afraid'.
So I asked her what would happen if I put them back from where they originally were.
'You will be fly tipping and we will send the police around to arrest and fine you' she said.
So I can't touch this stuff as I'll get arrested.
So I suggested that it may be likely that 'someone else' may move them.
She said that as the call has been recorded, I would be the prime suspect in an investigation.
Fortunately 'whoever' put this stuff on my property has placed it about 60% on the street and 40% on my property. My mate is coming around shortly. I do hope that no one accidentally 'trips over' these dangerous obstacles on the public footpath.
Video at the ready.........
