Hi,
Was looking on here earlier and thouth i would join 2morrow ..went to bed couldnt sleep and thought "must join now "
So here i am ..
A little about myself
am 43
Since leaving school have been a landscape Gardener
Have been pretty fit / healthy ( a few back problems / muscular, but ok now )
Never been to a gym
Have done weights in the past
Am about 5 .9 height
weight 11 stone
doesnt sound good ..lol
So my question is " whats the best way to start out putting muscle on and loseing a stone or 2?"
i do have a multi Gym in our garage ..its been there for at least 6 years gathering dust and cobwebs .. i think its a Delta ? pretty basic cost about ?270 6 years ago ...
Basically ive read a few posts and viewed a few pics of you guys and wow ..am feeling a bit fat ..
Im not fat according to my partner but ..myself i dont look like i did 10 years ago..which is understandable i guess ..
I feel i am motavated to start working out ,but havnt got a clue where to start really ..
Do i just go on the multi gym and do everything everyday or not ?
should i be eating specific things ?
To be honest i dont eat a great deal ..at the mo it seems to be beer and cigs ..which am gonna stop asap.. ( thats half the problem ) a beer belly only small i might add.. but enough for me to mind..
So any advice in getting started would be appreciated ...
i keep saying im gonna get fit etc but ,it always seems to get put aside.. so this is my chance i feel
thanks again if you can help me ... can go get some sleep now ...

Hi Steve,

I'm new to the board, also. I've been poring over the nutrition and exercise forums to learn about all the stuff I never knew about bodybuilding, and taking breaks in the misc. forums when my head starts to hurt from taking in too much information. This forum is the best one for motivation, though ( at least for me it is).
