basketball wise that is...

my routine is starting strength 3x a week.

Sun-----------heavy weights
mon----------rest
tues----------light weights
wed----------rest
thurs---------rest
fri-------------intermediate weights
sat-----------rest

now im only going to do plyos once a week maybe twice depending if I can handle it but main priorities is to get stronger while getting conditioned.

So im still questioning how many does of conditioning does it take to get into tip-top shape for tryouts in late october.

There is no time frame when you will get back into shape, because your physical fitness is all dependent on how hard you push yourself to see how much your body can handle. The more you push, the more your body will get used to the pain and fatigue.

The best advice I can give you is to push your hardest when you're conditioning, By the time you're able to compete without getting too tired then you'll know you're in condition.
