Just curious how many of us have called,texted,or webcammed ,or meet outside this forum?? Personally I talk on the phone much but I have swapped text, or, IM's, even web an meet one or two of people off this forum. I plan to meet a few more this season when they come up for games. I've never swapped numbers or meet peeps off any other forum but this one, but I'm pretty comfortable doing so with people I've meet here. LOL, I think I've even cyber dated a few.

I saw his name and saw that he was from my home town. So I sent him an IM and said I loved his characters name since it was from a book I just loved.

He wrote back and said "Oh my god, Is your name Den and do you know ******."

I was like wtf? Who is his. Now me and my wife and him and his wife get together for supper on a regular basis :).

Now, as for meeting someone other then him. No. Though I am not adverse to it. I met my wife online through a dating service and we have been together 8 years.

LOL, I should have asked whose meet at shows!! I've never had the chance to make any a bb show though. :( They just always come at times I cann't get away. Nobody from this forum. BUt an outdoors forum I visit I have met Numerous people. I hunt with one every year at his place in GA, and when he comes here once a year to see another friend that lives nearby we get together. Another I am going to his wedding in February. But I've heve at least 20 different people from that forum and none live within 200 miles of me.

In fact, I just saw one this weekend when he and his new girlfriend were visiting his dad in OH.

What's funny is it's a mix of things. One the exchange students (france influence) but they are very big on appearence and dress very girly?? Like the capris and sweaters and then theirs the whole skate thing they wear more the skinny jeans or jeans rolled up mid calf but those damn bags are very popular here!! I don't care what they call it it's a purse! And the guys diet and workout to be very skinny!! The girls you now see at much healthier weights and in baggy shorts! It's almost like your seeing a reversal of roles in reguards to weight,eating habits and just in general fussyness over appearence.

What's funny is it's a mix of things. One the exchange students (france influence) but they are very big on appearence and dress very girly?? When I first got hear a little over a year ago you could see groups so to speak of people like this now it's all over campus. If you go up to say one of the dorms for dinner at night you will see girls with hair up in pony tails little or no makeup and these huge baggy shorts that show nothing of shape at all. Where as the guys will be the ones who have fussed over appearence. To see so many guys concerned with being small is a little strange to me.

When I was at OU we ate at Couch cafeteria every day- meat and milk was our staple. We lifted at Huffman 5 to 6 days per week. We got big and strong. I got my BS in Petroleum Engineering the routine was: sleep,study,eat,lift,study,study,study,study,study , repeat. I used to go to the library every night until it closed. One of the biggest compliments I ever got was when a Japanese girl told me I was the only white guy that stayed at the library until it closed that didn't have a test the next day.

The gay scene hung out at the Union. My first day at OU I did see a gay/lesbian alliance meeting notice written in chalk on the sidewalk between the Library and Arts and Science building- was kind of shocking for an 18 year old kid coming from a HS class of 120. One of the coolest girls I knew at OU was a lesbian- she was very pretty and a great Country and Western dancer- she and I actually did a couple of small comps at some places in OKC.

I ofcoarse workout at the Huff everyday practically. We now have a Gay,Lesbian and Transgender club and it's pretty popular. I would have to say the gay population is fairly large here now or bisexual I should say. We do have a few transexuals here at the school to. It's not at all what I execpted of OU. The only big guys I see are the athletics departments.Now those boys are a whole another story. They probally more what I execpted of the general student body.

Now when it comes to football and our players we have one of if not the biggest average for players!! Loadholt came back this year at 6'8 and 350!! We have some massive sized boys in the football department!!

Everything execpt grilledcheese,grilledham an cheese, ect :rolleyes: is prepackaged now!! Cheeseburgers you can buy and microwave! It's all prepakaged now. However the union has some good food chioses now and they have real cooked food! LOL Couch is popular now for grilledcheese and cookies!!

If I remeber right Loadholt is the biggest player we have ever signed!! He's like a freakin brickwall. These boys are huge this year!! They worked all summer to build size and muscle and they did! Sam's comin back at 6'5 and 213. Cooke is 6'4 an 315.

We hired a OU lineman after he finished (he started in the LSU and USC championship games) he said he drank three weight gainer shakes per day in addition to regular meals. He went from 300+ to 260 before he moved on.

Our athletics department can build them that's for sure!! And the Huff is great! I couldn't ask for anywhere better to train. And the people that are here are very nice and very trustworthy!! LOL,they leave their bikes unlocked and hell at the gym everyone just throws their personal stuff, phones wallets whatever in a cubby then go workout!!

LOL,most us don't!! We have these little lockers how you can use drop a quarter in and it locks. When your finished put the key back and you get quarter back....LOL atleast a couple times a week I have to explain to someone how to use them! It's funny though cause most people don't use them and when they do it's for like packs not phones or wallet! It's a good campus very safe.

Yeah things have changed some.We now have internet all over campus so you can stop anywhere and use it! LOL I live in Krateli I don't think much has changed here!!! LOL I think we still have the same furniture that orginally came with the building!! Very 60's!! It's kinda cool and kinda of annoying cause I live beside the baseball field and cool I get to see all the games from my front door and bad cause the stadium lights light my bedroom up more then day time when they are running!!

This damn purse thing is out of hand!!! It's crazy!!!! Where I'm from men do not carry purses!!! They carry shot guns and dead animals but they don't put them in a purse!! Met up with (asmolenski) Allen and Donna at Nationals in PA and now we're goin to go cruisin together this January! Meeting Bill Mortimer (Baldsnake) this week at the Ironman shoot in PS, CA. Spoke to several others on the phone. Several email buddies. Met with Mrdread several times too. Went to Hawaii and met with Don dmangiarelli and we had a great time training back together.

Gosh there are some more, just cant remember them all! I like it!

Best friend from school I joined up with found me thru my wifes MySpace. I got out in 4 he stayed 20. He came home from Iraq missing some skin spendin time on the PC. Doin lunch this week after 18 years, pretty cool I think.

It went great, met up at Hooters. Two forty+ yr olds actin like kids...much fun to catch up on, sure glad my wife wasnt there he was too, his wife that is. Hooter girls love returning vets...and their buddies. Sure glad today is a off day! Otherwise there would have to be a make-up day. Sure was a long drive home from DFW
