My wife dragged me to.... I mean my wife and I spent a wonderful day together at flea markets yesterday, I noticed a used book called "Weight training for dummies"
So I picked it up and thumbed through it,
I was suprised to find it wasn't bad, lots of info for a novice lifter, it addresses most of the questions we see here every day.
lots of demonstrations and explanations on excercises, number of reps for different goals.
If I were just starting out it would not be a bad book to start with.
If you kept it up you would quickly out grow it but its as very cheap even new. A good book to give as a gift for someone starting out.

Ah so thats the key to a long relationship.
Note to self, turn negative to a positive when it comes to the wife.
Got it! lol :)

You wouldn't think it by looking at them, but the 'for dummies' line of books are from my experience very well written and filled with all the basics you could need.

But then again, based on the title, these books were written with me in mind...

I've always hated those titles. Why should someone be considered a dummy because they don't something about a topic and want to learn about it?

"____ for beginners" doesn't have the same ring I guess.
