I could be wrong but I don't think you can put it into steps. I think the optimum comes from two people knowing each other well enough that they intinctively know what to do in order to please their partner.

Yes and no. If your a romantic fool like me then...
Say for example you and your "SO" have something planned for a couple days from now. The next couple of days become mental foreplay.
