He's 66 but in damn good shape. He always wears tight spandex which Ive always thought was strange but I guess you can't really think of why someone shouldn't wear biker shorts when they are in fact riding a bike. Anyway, He sat down at the desk next to me to clock in and as I turn my head to greet him, I say to myself, "Oh hell no... this man is not wearing a fish net t-shirt!" But sure enough, he was! Nipples were poking through and everything. And to make it worse, he had a regular tshirt on his back w/the sleeves tied around his neck and it looked like a cape.

I don't know if I was in an altered mental state due to the quad esspresso that I had just downed but just the image of him standing at the desk and smiling with his fists at his hips as he greeted me back made me think he was some kind of cycling super-hero. As if when he's not instructing spin classes, he flies around helping cyclists in peril.... to be quite honest, bicyclers are in need of their own super hero and I think this man is candidate numero uno.

You gotta love old men that refuse to become old.

Get me one too and I'll pay you back. I'll take neon green if they have it.

Just be thankful that they weren't fish net shorts. :)

where i work out there are two older guys who always were spandex , just a note when you get past fifty ,spandex is not a good fashion option for men

that kind of falls into the "just because they make it in your size doesn't mean you should wear it" category.

lol, that's not as bad as this old guy with really short shorts. The legs of his shorts are also too wide if you get my drift. If your standing behind him while bends forward to do back extensions, you're in for a rude awakening.

I haven't met a spin instructor yet who isn't a bit "out there."

So true! What the hell is up w/that? We have another spin instructor who forgets she's hosting a spin class.. she thinks its karaoke night and she starts screaming the the lyrics to the music. And then we have a lazy one who doesn't even get on the bike.. she just puts the mic on and walks around critiquing everyone.

I always wanted to take a spin class, just couldn't adjust the bikes handle bars high enough to keep from hitting my knees. :(

I guess bikes aren't built for Ogre's. LOL!

And I agree on the spin instructors being "different". Must be all that CO2 they breathe in those small classrooms.

I'm about to be certified to teach a spin class within the next few months, I've already taken the course, just need to put in the requisite hours... and I'm perfectly normal... I also own a black sleeveless fishnet shirt... and lycra shorts... and again... I'm perfectly normal... ;)

I got it to the point where I could do it comfortably if I thought about not ramming my knees into the handlebars. I had those almost all the way out.

Well, like I said before, wearing biker shorts can't be THAT strange if you're actually biking... Just don't wear a fanny pack with it and you'll be fine. lol.
