got a message today from a guy I didn't know saying he thought my dog was at the local vets after being hit by a car :(
Went and saw him,the assistant there told me they thought he had broken his back,as I approached his cage and he saw who I was he stood up and limped holding one leg off the ground.
The assistant looked at me and said "wow,he wouldn't do that before".
So they are now hoping its only a broken pelvis.
Waiting on the phone call now

Beautiful dog. I feel for you. We have our first puppy and she is so much a part of our family after only a short few weeks. Take care and good luck. Prayers for a quick heal.

This is why I don't do pets. Too much heartache.

Glad the mutt is on the mend.

That said, the wife wants a dog after Christmas, which I'm not too happy about.

Last animals we had were cats which didn't settle into our new house with a new baby. I was the one blubbing like a small girl when I had to hand them over.

Too much emotions for me.........

That's cool. Not the hit by a car part, but the part where your dog jumped up for ya. that is so cool, it's amazing how a pet just loves their owner.

Great to hear you bud is ok! They are a part of the fam. Check out the parimiter colars at petsafe.com. They are true life savers, and they will keep them in the yard with proper training. Well worth the money...

late yesterday afternoon my son found our family pet (I live separate from my wife and kids) lying all smashed up in the front yard, she (a little silky terrier) had been hit by a car and made her way back to our house.
She has suffered head injuries and broken pelvis, she will be put down today.
Please pray for my kids

Sorry to hear about the second pooch getting hit by a car. What bad luck all in a row. I hope your young ones can understand that these unortunate things happen in life, it is not going to make it any easier for them.

best of luck with this,
