There is this Asian girl who has been come to the gym for the last few months and she takes her workout very seriously.
very focused and dedicated. She is a around 5' tall and very petite but solid as a rock. I have said hello and helped her reach some things that were too high for her to reach (like when the cable is set to the top notch but thats the extent of it.
Today was shoulder and trap day for me, so I did some front dumbell raises to warm up, and then went to use the hammer shrug machine, I loaded it up and did my sets, and when I finished I went to use the preloaded barbells for some military presses, she stopped me, smiled and said "your back looks very nice". I smiled and said thank you, and I told her my name and she told me hers.
That was as far as it went, but I tell you what, it's put a bit of pep in my step for the rest of the day. :)
Now, I don't think I am all that, I'm used to being the guy that girls forget a few minutes after they see me, nothing special to look at. but lately I get smiles from women I dont even know, and ones who used to would have ignored me strike up conversations etc.
I'm not complaining mind you, but this will take some getting used.
