Is there somwhere I can find what show I must start at to be able to compete at the nationals? Like an org. chart explaining the tiers/levels?

There are 4 basic types of shows in the NPC/IFBB. There are regional/state level shows. There are regional/state level shows that are designated as NQ or National Qualifier. In Figure, usually the top 2 per class qualify for National level (USAs, North Americans, Team U, Nationals) and the top 5 qualify for Jrs (Jr USA, Jr Nationals). I believe BB needs the Overall to qualify.
There are between 2 and 6 Pro Figure cards at all National shows except Team U, where there are 12 (ridiculous).
Keep in mind that is just my experience, and that is in the US. I am not well versed in how the CBBF functions. Of the National level shows listed, only the North Americans is open to Canadian and Mexican athletes. The Arnold Classic Amateur is open to all nations, but it is not a National level show.

Thanks for this ... I actually relocated to the US which is why I am now thinking of the NPC ... I am not sure if I can put on the amount of muscle I have seen at the CBBF - though I have been told through Cda athletes that the NPC does not seem to reward the bigger sizes....a little hesitant at this point .... trying to clean bulk, which is really my first time, so I don't know how well my body will respond (though I tend to build muslce really easily I have never really focused on just that before)
Thanks again :)
