I have been sick with the flu for a week now and haven't been able to workout at all. I did some yoga today to stretch a little, but how long should you wait to train and do cardio? Does anyone know?

There really is no set time period. Once you feel better and have your strength back....go for it.

Hi,
I was diagnosed with strep throat on Monday and was out of comission all day, stayed home from work, slept, and didn't workout. And Tues, I also stayed home from work, but I decided to do cardio in the morning on an empty stomach (45 minutes), ate, slept, then hit the gym for an hour and 15 minute leg workout.

Well, let me tell you, I'm back at work today and COMPLETELY exhausted. I recommend you wait until your energy reserves are fully in place before jumping back into it. For me, I should only have done cardio yesterday. I think the leg workout pushed me back as far as my healing.

Stretch, eat well, do yoga, relax, think positive/healing thoughts and enjoy the time your body has to heal. But, don't push it like I did.
Just my 2 cents.
