hey-lo, i'm new here : D

i'm 18 years old, 4'11 and 100 lbs. like most girls, i'm interested mostly in toning up, with perhaps a little bit of mass

i've been trying to lose weight for about a year now. i've already lost 20 pounds, which is a lot when you are so tiny >.< with the help of my boyfriend (he is into bodybuilding and suggested this site and forum to me), i have seen a lot of improvement. everything is coming along fine. i think i want to lose about 10 more lbs. of course, the smaller you get, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight >.<

except that, like most people, my big problem area is my inner thighs toward the tops of them. and i know that area is hard to deal with

they're about 21" around (at the widest). when i first started, they were about 23-24" around. so, i think maybe 2-3" more inches off would be good

so, of course, my question is.... which methods will help reduce my inner thighs? which lifts? which cardio?

i don't have access to a full on gym (because i can't afford it *sadness*). i use the school's weight room. i have dumbells at home. i am thinking of signing up with either the gym at the community college or looking to see if our community centre has anything (cos the college's 'fitness lab' is kinda weak sauce)

so anyway. thanks a bunch for your time! all of your responses will be greatly appreciated : D

dang girl, you sure don't sound like you need to lose 20 more pounds...you're tiny as is!

since you can't spot reduce (no matter what tv or magazines tell you), to tone up your inner thighs you need to do isolation exercises and cardio. plie squats, which can be done w/ dumbbells or body weight, are good for this; so are adductor leg lifts. cardio 30 min about 3x a week and a clean diet will help you out as well..

Follow Amelia's advice on clean dieting and cardio. However, don't bother with isolation exercises. Stick your basic compound movements like squats, deadlifts, and presses. You can vary your techiques by changing the width and position of your feet during deadifts and squats. These lifts require the most muscle fiber recruitment because of all the muscle involved.

Good luck and train hard.
