View Full Version : Finaly got a squat rack, now what?

I finaly got a squat rack. for 15$ its amazing. Right now ive been squating 5 days a week (cant stop its fun). my max is 400lbs and ive been doing one set of 8 with 300 since i got the rack. How long can i do this? i havent gotten any weaker and dont show any signs of staleness, however this is only 3 weeks in. I am inexperienced with this lift and would like to have another openion besides my own.

5 days a week seems a bit much. I squat just once a week, but I there are programs that will have you squatting 3x a week. Even though you have not become weaker, I would suggest giving your body some rest from them and eating like a horse. My guess is that a little rest and recovery will help increase your strength.

i squat twice a week and the second time is box squats
