I don't know if I have a skewed view of it or not, due to the fact I was there. In my opinion though, it was the greatest Wrestle Mania of all time.
I don't think any other Wrestle Mania match in history can compare to Hogan v Rock. The atmosphere was simply amazing. I still get goosebumps thinking about it.
Flair v Undertaker was a hell of a match as well. Arn Anderson running out and giving 'Taker the spinebuster had me jumping around all over the place.
The title match was pretty good, even though no one could have really cared less due to a horrible build up and exhaustion from the Hogan/Rock affair.
DDP v Christian was pretty damn good.
Almost every match was pretty damn good for that matter.
I'm curious though, what is your opinion on Wrestle Mania X8???

Far from the best. Many other mania's had better work rate and more historical significance. I'm thinking wrestlemania 3, wrestlemania 10, and wrestlemania 17. And while not as a whole wrestlemania 13 for Hart vs Austin is important as well.
Still though actually being able to go to any mania is a big deal so yeah your opinion might be a little skewed :D

I was there, and the happiest moment of my life was when Hogan hulked out against the rock...but with that said, it was one of the worst Wrestlemania's of all time.

Yeah, I remember hulking up with him and jumping up and down like a seven year old when he dropped the leg on Rock. :D
I'm still a little peeved that my giganto 'Die Rocky Die you piece of ****' sign was taken away :mad: :D!

i didn't care about the whole card, i just wanted to see
hogan kick rocks ass, unfortunately it didn't happen that way.

I thought it was a good Wrestlemania.
But they could have made it better by making it a hell in a cell or something like that!

i didnt think it was really very good. i could basically say what was going to happen in each spot before it happened. (hogan hits rock with the belt "oh no i dont think the rock could possiby use that against hogan could he??"). (uh oh trips is in the walls, no way hes gettin outta them.) hogan shouldve retired after that match. he sucked in it, and has only gotten worse. his leg drops get maybe 2 feet of height. its agonizing to watch.

I hear ya. They needed to have some sort of gimmick match. The undercard did seem jumbled together at the last minute, but Hogan/Rock made up for all of it's faults IMO.

The Steph vs. HHH match was what really brought my opinion of WM X-8 down. The whole situation with Jericho not getting over while feuding with Trips just brings a tear to my eye. I'd also rather have had the Rock vs. Hogan match last on the card, instead of second last.
But all in all, a good Wrestlemania. Not one of the best though.
