View Full Version : First PH experience: CEL's H-drol

So I just picked up the following products: CEL's H-drol, AI Cycle Support, NOW's Liver Detox and Regen, 6oxo, Blue Up, Shock Therapy, and Real Gains.

I plan on trying to put on between 10-15 pounds...trying to eat fairly clean but I work 40+ hours a week so it can become difficult for me.

From what I've read around here I should run the H-drol @ 50MG for 4 weeks. I'm a little shaky as to what I should be taking while on the cycle, and what I should wait to take for PCT. I am also not sure on how much of everything else I should take..(I know to take CS while on the cycle..but the others..Detox, 6oxo, blue up, I'm not positive). If someone could just offer their opinion as to when/how much they would take everything if they were running H-drol I'd appreciate it greatly. I will try to keep a log going after I get everything sorted out. Also, if there are any bases I am not covering please let me know.

Looks alright to me - however, given the fact, and don't take offense, that you're 5'9 at 160lbs I would have tried to bulk by eating as much as I could before running a PH.

Although, if you're 100% bent hell or high water I guess I'll help as I can. CS in the morning and evening with first and last meal - spread the hdrol out throughout the day (if you can - before you workout) but don't take it past 6pm. How's the training and diet looking?

Pre-load the NOW Liver detox 2 weeks in advance double dosed.

On cycle use AI Cycle Support as it will be a liver protectant/blood pressure controller.

PCT use Blue Up and 6-OXO.

I'm starting the cycle next week, but I'll start the liver detox tomorrow. Before I begin I'll post my routine and some pics as well as some measurements. So during the cycle I should only use the cycle support..then after the cycle I begin to take the NOW, 6-oxo, and Blue Up?

As far as diet goes I eat a lot, but I haven't made the type of gains I'm looking for. For breakfast I usually eat a bowl of honey oats, 3 hardboiled eggs, and two pieces of toast with PB and honey. I usually eat a handful of almonds for my next meal, followed by two cans of tuna. For a snack I cut an apple into slices and put a hefty amount of PB on each slice. Before dinner I usually make some pasta and throw a boneless breast in with it. For dinner I have some sort of meat accompanied by a veggie of some sort. I also use a Real Gains shake and with all of this and usually take in about 3500 calories or more.

Alright well your diet needs to be shaken up a bit - meals of almonds and cans of tuna isn't really going to cut it - no offense - you've got good intentions and a better sense of dieting than most people. However for bulking - you should really take a look at the Universal Animal forum and read into just eating massive amounts of red meat and complex carbs. I was going through recently 5000+ calories a day, nearly 2 pounds of london broil a day, potatos, whole eggs, and 20 pounds of oats a month.

I take Liv52 while on cycle and off cycle btw as far as liver protectants/detox's go. Just don't take it the same time as the hdrol.

Thanks..I'll definitely try changing the diet, but food is expensive as hell. I just bought 14 boneless breasts and three tubs of oats. Getting prepared :). I'll run by a Costco and see if I can find a good deal on some red meat in bulk. I guess I'll try to throw in some more potatoes and pasta for the complex carbs. Appreciate the info...

Yeah man I hear you. I was spending upwards of $150 plus recently a week for food just for myself - decided with gas prices, food prices, and my pant size (lol) it was time to recomp/cut. If you can strike a deal with a meat shop for bulk deals (freeze and then cook etc) - angus shoulder chuck is a good way to go too.

Are you supersetting? Even so, this looks like an intense workout. How long are you in the gym each day?

Usually about 2 hours a day, but while on the cycle I plan to bump that up to 3.

3 hours of weight training seems excessive - even while on cycle. I would trim down the routine a bit and just go all out for 1 hour. I hardly ever go more than an hour and I leave the gym soaking wet.

Still waiting on my H-drol, CS, 6oxo, blue up, RG, and shock therapy to arrive. I have been preloading hawthorne berry and the liver support and regeneration (double dosage).

So I did shoulders today...and I was in the gym for 1.5 hours. I'll try to give an idea of where I'm at on each body part before the cycle.

BB Press 105 x 10(easy set) 115x8, Behind the neck 125 x 6(failure on 7th), 125 x6 (failure on 7)

Seated Lateral Raise(Behind calves) 25x10, 30x8, 35x6, 35x8 (I always find it difficult to find the right weight with this lift. I feel like I sacrifice my form when I go up, but I feel like I'm always lifting to light on this one.

Standing DB Laterals 30x10(near failure), 30 x 10 (again, some guy was using the 35's), 35x7(Failure on 8), 35x6(Failure on 7)

BB Shrugs 145x10(Holding 3secs at top), 155x8/ Wide Grip 165x8, 175x6 (Grip always dies on this lift. I need to get some ties and stop being a cheapo)

Pull Overs 45x10, 50x8, 50x6, 55x6 ( I always hold these with a full breath for about 5 secs..trying to stretch the cartilage)

Lying Laterals 25x10, 30x8, 30x8, 30x8 (middle delts were on fire)

DB Forward Extension 25x10, 30x8, 35x6 (reps on each arm)

Side DB Press(First time trying this one..loved it tho put my delts in agony) 25x12, 30x6, 35x4, 25x10(had to move down to get good form again..first time trying this so I don't want to instill any bad habits.)

I'm really trying to beef up my middle delts and chest with H-drol. The reason my weight is down is primarily because of my legs which are near pathetic, so I'm sure I'll make some huge gains in that department as well. IMO I am fairly narrow up top so I'm going for width here..

Pat - your workouts are tooooooooooo looooooooooooooong hehe. Cut it down to 3-4 exercises per bodypart. You should be in the gym a max 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes. You're going to overexhaust your muscles and not get as good gains IMO

Everything arrived today when I got home from work. I'm starting the cycle tomorrow with my chest. I've began using the MAX-OT workout program, so I've cut my total workout time down to 45 minutes-1 hour. FYI if you ever order things from www.supplements.net make sure you call them beforehand to make sure everything is in stock bc they don't tell you until after you order.

Beginning stats

5'9 162 pounds
Squat 270
Bench 215
Dead 220

I've changed my eating habits quite a bit as well. I don't eat as clean, but I take in between 4000 and 5000 calories daily with at least 250g of protein each day. To add to my mix of supps a friend gave me a tub of Prohabolic so I'll be throwing that in my morning/afternoon shake along with Real Gains and Cycle Support.

Taking a quick break from work. Chest went great...Shock Therapy is definitely a great product I highly recommend it. My shake this morning consisted of 2 scoops of Real Gains, 1 scoop of Prohobolic-SR, 1 scoop of Cycle Support, and I threw in 1/2 cup of oats. It was ****ing brutal. I also ate a tuna salad sandwich and 3 hardboiled eggs for breakfast. Lunch was two more tuna sandwiches and a PB sandwich. If anyone knows a good way to drink/mix the cycle support with something that would be awesome. That stuff tastes horrible. I'll post the workout later tonight.

Hey sorry I just figured no one was still following this. I'll start it back up I guess.

Strength gains are going great. I did chest for the second time yesterday and my heavy sets (MAX-OT) were 195x6,5,4 on flat barbell, 175x5,4,4 on incline, DB press 70x5,4,4, 145x7,4,4 on peck deck, incline flies 50x8,6,4. The week before on chest I was lifting 185 so up 10 pounds in a week is pretty solid.

My weight is +3.4 pounds. I'm a little disappointed..I'm hoping for a dramatic change here - but I'm not discouraged because I still have 22 days left. I was out of town for one day so I missed a days dosage so the next two days I just took 75mg (yesterday & today). Probably not the best way to do it but whatever.

Here's my typical days food intake

Morning shake = 2 scoops real gains, 1 scoop prohabolic, 1/2 cup of oats.
Breakfast = 3-5 hardboiled eggs, 1 piece of toast.
Mid lunch= 2 PB&J + 2 Tuna Salad sandwhiches, 1 cup of almonds
Lunch= 1/2lb angus chuck, 1/2lb boiled potatoes
Mid dinner= 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast, 1/2lb potatoes
Dinner= 1/2lb angus chuck, chicken salad, mixed veggies
Evening shake= 2 scoops real gains, 1 scoop prohabolic, 1 cup frozen mixed fruit.

That's just over 5000 calories. It changes a little each day depending on how my appetite feels. I about puke everyday getting this much food down. I hope this crazy ass diet pays off.

Each shake has approx 1000 calories because I make them with 2% milk. Doing shoulders today, I'll try to post again tonight.

Also for those suffering through the taste of cycle support..mix it in a small glass with either apple juice or cranberry juice, and you don't even taste it.

Im def subbed so keep it comin...ill be starting mine in about a month running it 50/50/75/75/75...Reversitol for pct and loading 1g Milk thistle and .6g Hawthorn Berry 5 days before cycle and will continue on cycle..

hdrol doesnt usually "kick in" until about week 3. I hope you did your research prior to starting your stack.. im sure thats one of the first things you would have read if you did so. Good luck man, im sure youll have some nice gains!

Hdrol is really mild. To be honest I don't see many people gaining more than 5 lbs on a 50mg/day 4 week deal. Then again I don't agree with the 'eat everything in sight' advice you get on here from some folks. You'll certainly gain more than 5lbs with that advice, but how much of it will be quality weight is another story.

I did research it, and yes I do know it typically takes 2 weeks (what most people say - not 3) for it to take a strong effect. From what I've read..people taking it while bulking gain anywhere from 8 to 15 pounds.

Haven't gone to the gym yet but today's diet was

Shake in morn + CS + 3hardboiled eggs
3 PBJ sandwiches
1/2lb ground beef w/ potatoes
spare ribs with red potatoes and carrots
1/2lb ground beef w/potatoes
2tsps PB
and of course my shake will come after workout

Having a car issue so can't go to the gym yet..anyone want to buy a 95 240SX?

Yeah I preloaded hawthorne berry 2 weeks along with NOW's liver detoxifier and regenifier a week before the cycle. I've been checking my blood pressure everyday and its been normal. I have an appointment to get blood work done when I'm done with the cycle as well..(mom's a nurse). For PCT I'm taking 6-oxo and blue up as well as NOW again.

Didn't get to workout yest so I did shoulders this morning.

Woke up around 8:30 AM and ate 3 hardboiled eggs + scoop of CS with apple juice.

BB military press WARMUP= 75x12, 95x8, 115x1(Weight acclimation), HEAVY SETS: 125x6, 130x4, 130x4

DB Overhead press: HEAVY SETS= 55x6, 60x4, 60x4

DB Flies: 35x7,35x5,35x4

Shrug Machine ( you can use it seated but I stand up with it..I don't do barbell shrugs this just works best for me) 205x8,215x5,215x5

Lying Laterals= 30x6,30x4,30x4

Side DB Press= 35x5,35x4,35x4

Weight is down .5lbs today. Only side effect is a bad temper. I didn't workout last night bc my car was broken down..when my gf decided to go out and not let me use her car to go to the gym I flipped..not normal for me. I'm usually pretty easy going. Back and bi's tomorrow along with some photos hopefully. Also - BP is and has been in healthy range the entire cycle thus far.

These pics were taken before I worked out my back. I am seeing good results with my back, but I really think I need some work on my chest. I wish I could build up some width/definition in the chest area. Anyone that can recommend workouts for widening my chest would be greatly appreciated...but I'm pretty sure I'm doing everything I can. Anyways, as of this morning I have gained 4.1 pounds. I know this is really day 11, but I skipped one day so I'm calling it day 10.

Workout

Lat Pull Down= 85x12, 100x6, 120x1, Heavy Sets: 130x5,130x4,130x5
Bent Over Rows(New to this workout)= 135x8, 145x4, 145x4
DB row=85x5,85x5,85x4
Wide Grip Rows=150x6,150x5,150x4
DB Pull overs=65x6,65x6 moved to the machine..wasn't feeling the dumbells 160x4,160x4
Wide grip weighted hangs= 25lb plate in bookbag..hung for long as I could two sets with arms stretched, two sets with chin above bar.

Food:
Breakfast - 3pieces toast w/ butter & jelly (ran out of eggs) w/ cycle supp
2 scoops realgains, 1 scoop prohabolic, 1/2 cup oats
2nd meal 1 pound ground beef with american cheese, 1/2 lb potatoes 1/4lb carrots
3rd meal 2 PB&J's with 1/4lb potatoes
4th meal Pork loin w/ caramelized red peppers and onions, right after this meal I drank another shake identical to the morning shake.

Got some mild back cramps in the gym today. I didn't buy any taurine, but I'm thinking I may get some. BP is still fine. I'll start posting BP #'s tomorrow. Tomorrow is off day..then legs. I'm thinking of upping my dosage for weeks 3 and 4 to 75mg/day. Give me some feedback guys.

A handfull of almonds for one of your meals? You should definitely eat more. Nevermind I see you changed your diet. Adding in a lot of carbs huh?

Yeah. Surprisingly it has gotten much easier to put down massive amounts of food. I ate 5 hardboiled eggs for breakfast today with my shake. Had 2 pb&j's, 1lb of pork loin, and a full lb of potatoes already (it's 7:45 now). Going to make a 1/2lb ground beef patty and drink my shake before bed and call it a night. I can't wait to hit the weights tomorrow.

Anyone think it's a good idea to make the last two weeks 75mg, or am I wasting my money on another bottle?

Forgot to mention that I'm running out of the prohabolic-SR. Can anyone recommend a good protein powder product to mix with my real gains shake?

Couldn't put down as much food today. I'm starting to feel tired during the day, but I feel great when I'm in the gym. As a matter of fact...I only feel "really happy" when I'm in the gym lifting lately. Seeing that I gained another pound this morning really got me amped though, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the mass keeps on coming.
