I have legs that are very muscular and beefy and love them but would like to lean them down a bit for fitness modeling (vs. figure/bodybuilding). I normally squat 175 and do heavy leg workouts once a week. To change things up I have only been doing my leg workouts twice a month (every other week) and have been doing 100 meter sprints and bike sprints 3-4X a week. My legs burn so bad from these workouts and I've noticed they are getting much leaner and more cut. Not only that but my body overall is leaner because I usually do the same amount of cardio, but low intensity. I don't think I am going to lose much muscle in my legs because I am not endurance training but sprints which incorporates mostly fast twitch muscle. Hopefully I will burn any intramusclular and subcutaneous fat to lean them out more. Does anyone think this is a bad idea or that I will lose too much muscle in my legs by only doing my leg workouts twice a month??
