OK. Ive been worrying about eating too much protein because too much protein could get converted back into glucose in a very inefficient way.. Basically if you eat all protein and no carbs/fat ull not be here much longer :(
Anyway, to increase fat content of my meals, i did this:
I made a dip for my chicken/meats.
Consists of:
whole egg
2 egg yolks
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon sea salt or Celtic salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper (I didn't have white so I used regular pepper)
1 cup Coconut Oil (melted if solid. Could be refined or virgin still has good fats)
1. Put the eggs, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and pepper into a food processor or blender: Then with the processor or blender running on low speed, start adding your oils very slowly. Start out with drops and then work up to about a 1/16-inch stream. It should take about two minutes to add the oil.
2. Continue blending until there is no free standing oil.
Makes about 1 1/2 cups
The good part about this: it tastes good.. So if you want to add more fat to your protein meal, you can easily put 3-4tbps = 300-400 calories from fat.
