I have recently started what i think is keto but not to sure if i have this right.
so far what i am doing is...

M1-omlet with eggs, bacon, chilli and a few small mushrooms
M2 - Chicken and cheese
M3 - Chicken low carb wrap (9g carb)
M4 - struggle here
M5 - steak with slice of cheese and bacon
M6 - berries

i general stick to under 30g carbs a day. i have upped both my protein and fat but need to get more protien and vegies in, but dont know where to get them.

any ideas? or am i off track? if so help me get there :)

get rid of the wrap on the chicken and what kind of berries are we talking about? those both seem risky

peppers are a good keto veg

include vegatables with every meal. Preferably raw and organic.

Have more unsaturated fat i.e. nuts, fish oils, flaxeed oil, avacado.

I think berries (blue, rasp, black mix) are the number one missed item in my whole keto diet plan....
Miss the taste...(mix Phytoberry in my Post WO shake....to kinda compensate)
However, the loss of 3 inches around my waistline in the last 3 weeks has made the berry sacrifice awright I spose...:)

Good luck in your diet...
Do you have a good multi-vitamin, some good fatty oils (flax, olive etc) and St.John's Wort or something of the sort lined up as well?

EDIT: I get most of my fibrous veggie intake by way of a large Spring / Baby Spinach salad at noon hour.... complete with boiled eggs, bacon, feta and yummy Olive Oil based dressing... keeps things on the regular....

I use low carb tortillas from time to time and they have never been a problem. You can certainly try them and see how you do . . . I use the smaller size and they are something like 3 or 4 net carbs (subtract the fiber grams from the carbs grams).

All kinds of dessert possibilities . . . sugar free jello is pretty good!

That sucks about your tummy getting ill due to the multi...
important to make sure you are getting the appropriate daily amount of vitamins none-the-less...
Reference the eggs, I usually boil 'em up a dozen at a time, stick them in the fridge and peel & eat as necessary... may take a little getting used to ...but once you do, cold pre-boiled eggs can be quite good....

Hope you have seen this sticky from Boyscout as it has some great information contained and linked in it....

http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=4145823

Within those links is also one to low carb.org

http://low-carb.org/faq/

I found this one to be ultra informative and I keep on referring back to it whenever I have Keto oriented questions...

Hope this helps... I am off to fry up my bacon for tomorrow's meals :)
mmm Keto-licious bacon....

x2on hardboiled eggs... nuts... tuna... salads. premade things are big on keto. check out the ketologs or recipes sections fore more examples -- its doable, and enjoyble, even on the busiest schedules.

ok ive gotten rid of the wraps and just having the meat and tossed the berries. ive added hot an spicy salami for a snack, but still need vegies

now its almost been a week and i appear to have lost fat around my upper abs (either side - in the dimple area) but my gut looks bigger. may just look bigger as the top is skinnier, or it may just be fat. who knows

Give it time, I'm sure you will like the results. Here's a dessert, I think Eileen was the one I got it from....Make a box of sugar free jello, but mix a block (8oz.) of softened cream cheese into the mix right after you've added the boiling water. Then add the cup of cold water, mix well and let it set in the fridge. Serve with a little whipped cream, preferably that you've mixed yourself, using a CO2 dispenser. That way you can add your own sweetner to it, instead of the whipped cream you buy pre-made at the store. You can also add stuff like nuts, etc. to the Ccheese, as long as it fits your macros....
