So lets say I was doing some SL deads and I'm just starting to pull up and I feel a pop in my lower back. I set the weight down and it hurts pretty bad straitening out my back. This is the third day now afterwards and it's getting better but still hurts straitening it out. What the heck did I do? Will I be doing deads again anytime soon?

I'm by no means qualified to say, but I've pulled muscles in my lower back several times - usually pain subsides in 3-5 days, but the muscle will take two full weeks for properly heal, dont push your lower back too hard for a while.
If the pain doesnt disappear - go see a doctor.

That's what I'm hoping. I was afraid it was a disc or something bad. Reps

If you had a radiating (shooting) pain then it is most likely disc related. If not, then it may just be a muscle strain. If it doesn't resolve soon, get it checked out!

Best,
Thanks! It wasn't a shooting pain, it was a pop. And after I set the weight down and straigtened my back out is was a pain. It's getting better but I'm going to stay off it for a few weeks. Wahoo! No leg lifts for two weeks..haha.
holy **** be careful you only get 1 back.
how was your form? if you remember. stiff leg deadlifts... I wont try yet!
