Howdy to all.

I am not a personal train, but in training to become alittle more lean and trim.

I was a member of a couple of gyms and my first I had no idea what or why I was even there. I got a free pass to a week trial. Went along with a couple of female co-workers, but none of us knew what to do.

Well, after awhile we got a personal trainer to put us to do several machines but didn't really explain what they were for. Some personal trainers are just horrible. The gym in particular would look out for the blonde trim type, you know how that goes. I felt bad for the overweight people, cause when they needed something they had to wait.

I think that it with the knowledge that a trainer aquires, it's just enough. Being courteous and professional will keep the client coming back for more sessions. I quit my membership and started a new membership elsewhere, with my own knowledge, so it all adds up to what your client expects from you.

It sounds like you did the right thing by changing gyms. You will find good pts and bad pts. Some will be dickheads, and some will want to teach anyone who will listen everything they know. It's like anything else in life. You will find Bozo's in all professions. Some will take it seriously because it's something they love to do, and some will do it to meet the opposite sex, be cool or whatever.
There are good pts out there who want to help anyone who wants to improve their health, sport etc.
I'm hoping to be one very soon as I am anxiously awaiting my exam results. I plan to be one of the good ones and devote my 100% attention to help anyone who wants to put in effort and learn about a healthy lifestyle, BBing, etc.
