Just for further info, I don't know about potential harassment on other sections of the site, but this individual has shown themselves to be an overall dumbass, and possibly a troll.

For example, she/it/him(whoever this person is), starts a thread in the steroid section like this :

"Hi, I think my friend is taking steroids, should I call the police?"


Seems to me like someone who is simply going for a reaction and having fun at the expense of others.

It seems a lot of weirdos follow me around from other forums. Just to clarify, since the steroid thread is now closed, the reason I asked if I should call the police is that I'm very concerned about my friend. I have no tolerance for drugs and I think people who use them no longer have control of themselves and action from their friends is required to fix them. I also speak from experience because I have personally dealt with close friends and family members who had problems with addictions.

You seem to have reduced a tremendously complex social and medical issue down to a t-shirt slogan.

First, most drug users are not addicts or out of control. Many illegal drugs are less addictive than alcohol (a few are quite a bit more addictive; there's a lot of variation from drug to drug.) Would you say that any person who has a beer or a glass of wine has no control and must be stopped by their friends?

Second...addiction isn't something you can cure with force. Addicts have serious unmet psychological needs. The opiate addict (like the alcoholic) uses because it makes the stress and pain of their lives go away. The stimulant addict uses because a line of coke or meth allows them to feel self-confident and sexy and important. Arrest somebody and you haven't done ANYTHING to help the addiction, because you haven't treated the emotional needs that drove them to it in the first place. When they get out, they'll usually just start using again, humiliated (and often economically injured) by the experience. Trying to 'treat' addiction with arrest and imprisonment is a little like trying to get a dog to stop cowering by beating it.

Heterosexuals do broadcast their sexuality (flirting, catcalls, public acts of affection, dating, marriage, etc.). It's just not obvious to most since it's deemed the norm and people wouldn't think twice about it, where as if it were two persons of the same sex, people will otherwise notice.

Even though I don't necessarily "broadcast" my sexuality (since, even though society is becoming more accepting, it's still in the realm of taboo subjects for many), I don't want people assume that I'm something that I'm not. Would you like people to assume you're something that you're not, especially if that something constitutes a great part of your being?
