So I'm planning on training clients in my college's public facility. Students and Faculty have free memberships, and the public pays a very reasonable fee. I plan on training mostly, if not only, students and faculty in the gym. Are there any legal issues that I should be worried about here?

Check with the gym mangement, at my gym outside personal training is prohibited. Perhaps the there is no policy, maybe there is, but the last thing you want is to be approached by their staff if such a policy exists. It looks very unprofessional.

Just a quick thought, If you are training at your univeristy facilities, then talk with your faculty representive about training at the facility.

Agreed. Trainers who try to work in gyms without permission are usually referred to as 'secret trainers' and it makes you look so lame. It's not worth saving on the fee to train at the gym.
Other than that, you will want to have the facility named on your insurance, otherwise they probably won't be covered and will be liable in a lawsuit, even if you aren't.
