I am always hesitant about using the Tanita scale that show %bf simply because water loss can really skew the results. For example if you go on a low carb diet you can lose alot of water as the muscles lose glycogen that is not being restored. This can cause your LBM to drop quite a bit even though you aren't really losing muscle.
However if these tanita scales can really measure body water % then we could have a way of factoring in hydration to get get more meaningful number for bf%... Meaning you could adjust the number to some sbody water %..
