Good thread for everyone to post their experiences with gyms(good or bad) .. give reasons; pay, attaining clients, scheduling ect. . .I myself have not worked at a gym as I am newly certified . .so i cant contribute to the thread yet. . i think alot of people have been asking about certs when one of the most important aspects of this career is the gym u work at. . .

I worked at 24 Hour Fitness back in 2000. It was my first job as a newly certified NASM trainer. That job taught me how to work hard get paid little and become a phenomenal sales man. Didn't make me a very good trainer though. lol.
I also worked at a small studio. That was a good experience as I was not responsible for sales and would just show up to work to get clients results. Again the pay was ****. ($21/session)
Now I own my own business and make twice the money with half the clients.

thanks for the advice. . .i think eventually i would like to own a business, but to start i would like some in gym experience just to see how it works inside and out .. see what is good about the gym and what i would change with my own gym ..
