If I had thought of working as a PT? Im one of the few guys who are nice enough to stop & answer any questions when asked.
Said something about a NFA or some sort of a cert. Buy a book do a 3 day course.. I have no idea cause lets face it.. it was chest day & couldnt focus.
Was told they have no one who really knows much about strength training. But they have Tiny lil Cardion PT girls everywhere. I tend to Power/bodybuild train.
I would call my gym but all thats there at the moment is the counter girl who has no clue.
Thanks

Who asked you to be a pt? A member? Ask for the manager or trainer manager at the gym and ask if you can free lance or if you have to work for them to train others there. They'll tell you what you need to do.

if THEY asked ME, id definitely ask them to pay for the test, lol. They probably want a big built guy to complement the staff of cardio bunnies.
if u ended up being the only guy trainer u could probably make some decent $$$
then again, if its not soemthing u want to do deep down, then it wont be worth the hassle

Sorry I wasnt very clear. Yes it was the gym manager & I really think it is to off set the cardio bunnies.(sexy as they are) What I was asking is does anyone know what NFA cert is? Cant find anything on the net. But no one but the counter girls are there this weekend & I did call they didnt have a clue. I might be completely off on the name of the cert though.
My main thought is right now on average I have 2 to 5 guys a workout who come up asking questions how do I do this or that.. THinking if i was able to charge them then that might cover some of the cost of sups..LOL

Sounds like you have a pretty good lead-in...if you're interested, you should probably give it at try...you might want to clear up the cert thing, though...

National Association for Fitness Certification (NAFC)?
That's not one of the big names though.

There is absolutely no money to be made in that area.
Sad but true.
And stop making these goddamn threads. Run a search next time.
