I have to finalize my schedule again soon and i really wanted to start taking classes i SHOULD be taking, getting cores out of the way.

Problem is i really dont know what jobs there ARE out there, and before i go to my own search, wanted to post this up for responses. If i could just bodybuild and make a living then i would, but reality is i need an actual job until its a viable support method on its own, so in the realm of physical therapist-ish jobs, wat are some pre reqs you guys had to take/what was the actual name of ur declared major?

Also, right now, between "Anatomy and physiology" and bio, which would i need in the long run? or would i need both anyway so it wlndt mater what i take....

thx in advance

I know exercise science and kinesiology are popular degrees. It is a 99% certainty that bodybuilding will never be a viable support method, ever, for you(not trying to be rude but it isn't for all but like the top 5 finishers at the MR O plus a few others). So you should make sure you are going to work on a degree for something you really want to do. I pretty much wasted mine because I had no idea what I wanted to do and found out too late, will most likely go back to college for a second degree some time in the future.

You should look at the majors and make your class decisions based upon which fill requirments for the most possible majors you might be interested in. Do all your core classes now and over the next year or two do some research into jobs, try to get an internship somewhere to see if you like something. Then once you have made your mind up all the classes you took should be applicable no matter which major. Also look at possible jobs and see if you can find information about what kind of education and/or certification you need.

Hope this was helpful. Take it from a soon-to-be college graduate. Hindsight is 20/20 and if I had done that in college I would be light years ahead of where I am going to be after I graduate.

physical therapy is a long/hard road but if you enjoy it a great road

if you want to go into anything regarding body movement then biology, anat and physio will be the core classes that you take.

Talk to an advisor at your school.
