Sorry to jump in on this topic.. but I dont see anything all that special with Xtreme Formulations based on what im seeing ingredient wise and when looking at all XF product formulas in general.
Im kinda shying away from it due to the Acesulfame-K use, lack of digestive enzymes (acidophilus/bifidus) or even digestive support (Aminogen/FOS/etc).

For the price I was hopeing for a lot, or atleast a little, more. XF reps just take a look at one of the similar supps im using on my bspace. I will say this though, quite a few reputable people have switched to these products. Im not the type to bash companys and I see a lot of promise in this company. Hope to see improved stuff. I do like the Casein not caseinate and WPI over WPC in your Peptide blend.

this is one of my favorite formulas for eaa+carbs, I may be addining it as a replacement to bcaas+Carbs for my triathlon enduracne training in the months to come. definitely try Vendetta if you have not.

Xtreme Formulations Vendetta Review

Why Vendetta?

XF products have always come very highly recommended to me by people whose opinions I value and trust. I have been in need of a helping hand with ensuring quality workout situations;
1) In a fasted state - I get up and within ten minutes hop on the bicycle for 20 to 25 minutes and then do a workout ( usually gymnastic rings ), and
2) Sometimes at work I have the opportunity to workout on company time. This time to workout is not set, simply down tools and go for it. In these situations pre workout nutrition cannot be planned.

The Theory

Free form amino's plus simple carbs pre and intra to ensure fuel is in the tank/ muscles are getting all the fuel they need. I understand there are studies which state this mix pre workout can be as valuable as protein+carbs post workout but I was primarily concerned with making sure that I could get the best out of my workouts. I used a variety of combinations of serve sizes with Poseidon to come up with the best possible mix for a variety of situations.

Taste

Had some concerns initially as I have read mixed reviews on it but I must say I love this flavour. I like fresh cherries but hate glazed cherries - this is more of a fresh cherry flavour with maybe a slight berry taste. Very refreshing intra workout, not too sweet or overpowering even in lower amounts of water (compared to some electrolyte/ carb formulas - Gatorade Fierce Berry for example). Only a very slight taste of aminos which is not really noticable unless you are looking for it.

Price

I find this very cost effective. It's pretty much common knowledge that EAA's aren't cheap and hard to flavour. Vendetta offers you a well flavoured pre mix at a good price. You could go the bulk EAA+carb source+ flavour system or use Primal EAA+ carbs etc but you are not likely to save much money and there is every chance of it will taste like crap. Obviously there is no loading or maintenance required so you only have to use it as you see fit. A tub will last me about 2 months+.

Mixability

Excellent. Seems to disolve a lot quicker than other amino products I have used. No grit, no floaties.

Effectiveness

I can't comment on its effects on anabolism but as far as it's use as a fuel source pre and intra workout I have found it to be very effective. I do use it with Poseidon ( make up your own mind on this one ) but have certainly noticed an increase in quality of workouts and reduction in DOMS. Seems to work a lot better than the Gatorade powder (similar carb source).
For the fasted workous I found I could get away with 1 scoop(2/3 serve) before the cycle and then half scoop intra (sometimes 1 scoop if I want to spoil myself). For other workouts I will use 1-1.5 scoops intra. I do feel that I have more energy and my work rate is better when using Vendetta.

Overall thoughts and observations.

Excellent product and I will make sure I keep a supply of it. Sure I will keep experimenting with other combos for comparison but will keep using this for the workouts that count. Some may argue that with a proper pre workout meal this kind of supplement is uneccessary. Whilst I am sure there is truth in that Vendetta seems to keep you covered and take out the guess work. This is how I use it - if in doubt reach for the Vendetta.

I don't function without a BCAA product... I'd be interested in seeing how EAAs stack up. I'd also be interested ins eeing how recovery goes by just using the EAAs + Carbs instead of Whey + carbs for PWO..

I've used them plenty in the past, and then stopped - and now I'm honestly wanting to try to them again to see if they even do anything or if it's all in my head.

part of me says hell ya they do something, part of me says no - it's a gimmick.

Either way, I want to give them another shot, and XF is an awesome company, so this product looks legit. I've actually considered purchasing it in the past, but don't think I would since I'm somewhat skeptical about eaa/bcaa's, atm.

Perhaps if I win, I can really buckle down on a log and really pay attention to see if they are worth my investment in the future.
